<p>Después de las elecciones en México de 2021 y la pérdida efectiva de votos por parte del partido del presidente, muchos actores políticos afirmaron que fue la clase media la que cambió de opinión y afectó en mayor parte la elección. En este artículo exploramos la politización de la identidad de clase social como mayor influencia en las preferencias electorales y su posible efecto al momento de votar. Tomamos datos de las encuestas de salida realizadas por Parametría el día de las elecciones federales de 2021, y exploramos tanto los resultados directos como la influencia de la identidad de clase al momento de votar. Encontramos que a pesar de haber relación entre mayor clase social y la probabilidad de votar por el partido opositor, este efecto no es significativo y es prácticamente nulo en la clase media. Para el partido del presidente, el efecto es insignificante frente a su ventaja en las clases más bajas.</p>
Resumen: El aborto ha sido tradicionalmente uno de los temas más polémicos en la agenda pública de distintos países. A pesar de tratarse de un tema de salud pública, sus aristas se extienden y abarcan aspectos complejos de carácter político y social. En particular, el debate se ha orientado al área legislativa. Las posturas sobre la despenalización del aborto pueden ser extremas (aquéllas que consideran que el aborto debería ser legal o ilegal en cualquier caso) o intermedias (en las que el apoyo a la despenalización del aborto depende de las circunstancias que lleven a su práctica). Si bien es posible encontrar posiciones contrastantes entre grupos poblacionales con características sociodemográficas disímiles-que los posicionan, en muchos de los casos, en una situación más vulnerable a la práctica de un aborto-, es posible afirmar que los mexicanos, en general, se manifiestan a favor de la despenalización
