A maior parte da produção de alimentos consumidos pela população do país se origina da agricultura familiar. Sendo assim, o governo tem várias políticas públicas voltadas para esta atividade. Políticas públicas voltadas à comercialização como o PAA - Programa de Aquisição de Alimentos é uma das ações estruturantes do Fome Zero, tem o objetivo de garantir o acesso a alimentos em quantidade, com qualidade e de forma regular às populações com situação de insegurança alimentar, permitindo aos agricultores que comercializem seus produtos com preço justo. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo analisar através de um estudo dos artigos publicados nos Congressos da SOBER (Sociedade Brasileira de Economia, Administração e Sociologia Rural) quais os estudos vêm sendo desenvolvidos sobre a temática do PAA durante os três últimos anos. O Congresso do ano de 2011 estava inacessível, portanto os trabalhos estudados foram somente nos anos 2012 e 2013 que se quantificam em 10 trabalhos dentre os quais está apresentado abaixo a implantação e os resultados do PAA em diferentes estados deste país.
