RESUMO -Este estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a utilização do método de aprendizagem baseada em problemas (PBL) na disciplina de Projeto de Processos da Indústria Química. A metodologia de avaliação baseou-se em questionários estruturados na aplicação e resultados obtidos com o método PBL e foram respondidos pelos alunos ao final dos cursos. Observou-se que os alunos avaliaram positivamente a aplicação do método PBL, com resultados bastante satisfatórios para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa do conhecimento em busca da auto-aprendizagem de aspectos técnicos e comportamentais, vitais para enfrentar os desafios no ambiente profissional. INTRODUÇÃOO processo tradicional de ensino-aprendizagem encontra-se na maioria das vezes restrito à simples reprodução e transmissão do conhecimento por parte do docente, gerando repetições das informações, num processo passivo onde o discente torna-se apenas um expectador sem apresentar a própria visão crítica e reflexiva (Moust et al., 2007).A PBL-Aprendizagem baseada em problemas, como uma metodologia ativa de ensino, é uma concepção educacional que coloca os estudantes da graduação como principais agentes de seu aprendizado. Nela, o estímulo à crítica e reflexão são incentivados pela metodologia que conduz a aula, com o professor atuando como tutor, mas o centro desse processo é, de fato, o próprio aluno. As características da PBL favorecem a atuação do futuro profissional no mercado de trabalho, podendo ser utilizadas nos mais variados contextos (Sales, Del, 2013).Neste contexto, este artigo relata a abordagem pedagógica por PBL adotada na disciplina de Projeto
