Este trabalho apresenta o gênero Phacus Duj. do "Lago da Ponte", localizado no Jardim Botânico de Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, a 30°03'05"S e 51°10'34"W. O estudo do "Lago da Ponte" tem como objetivo a identificação de Phacus provenientes de 24 amostras coletadas com rede de plâncton, em duas margens do lago, com periodicidade mensal, de julho/2007 a junho/2008. Ainda, realizar a comparação da riqueza desse gênero nesse ambiente depois de sua transformação de banhado para lago, assim como, fornecer a amplitude das variáveis ambientais de ocorrência de cada táxon. Da análise qualitativa resultou o registro de 22 táxons em nível específico e infraespecífico, distribuídos em 18 variedades típicas, três variedades que não as típicas da espécie e uma forma que não a típica. Phacus brachykentron Pochm. e P. stokesii Lemm. são citados pela primeira vez no Rio Grande do Sul. Os táxons mais freqüentes foram: Phacus brachykentron Pochm., P. longicauda (Ehr.) Duj., P. hamatus Pochm, P. orbicularis Hübner e P. raciborskii Drez.var. longus Conf. A comparação da riqueza do banhado versus lago, segundo o índice de Sörensen, indicou baixa similaridade entre estes biótopos aquáticos, ocorrendo maior riqueza de Phacus no sistema lago.
São apresentados nove táxons de Euglenophyta incolores como resultado do estudo taxonômico em ambientes lênticos (lagoas, açude, canal e banhados) de duas áreas próximas a Laguna dos Patos: a Lagoa do Casamento e ecossistemas associados (30º03'- 30º34'S e 50º25'- 50º47'W) e região do Butiazal de Tapes (30º23'30º38'S e 51º16'- 51º29'W) na Planície Costeira do Rio Grande do Sul. As coletas de rede e espremido de macrófitas aquáticas abrangeram as estações de outono e primavera de 2003. Quanto à distribuição todos os nove táxons de Euglenophyta incolores são novas citações para a Planície Costeira do Estado, sendo primeiros registros para o Brasil: Cyclidiopsis acus Korsch., Entosiphon polyaulax Skuja, Gyropaigne kosmos Skuja, Menoidium tortuosum (Stokes) Lemm. var. playfairii Bour. e Rhabdomonas mirabilis (Playf.) Schroeckh, Lee & Patterson, e ainda para o Rio Grande do Sul: Menoidium gracile Playf., Menoidium pellucidum Perty e Menoidium obtusum Pringheim. O ecossistema banhado foi o que apresentou maior riqueza destacando-se o banhado entre a Lagoa do Capivari e Lagoa do Casamento por ter sido encontrado sete táxons dentre os nove identificados. A área da Lagoa do Casamento apresentou maior riqueza de Euglenophyta incolores do que os ambientes próximos ao Butiazal de Tapes, possivelmente por esta área possuir maior contribuição antrópica.
Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a importância e o desenvolvimento das questões ambientais nas escolas. O tema Educação Ambiental foi escolhido com a intenção de analisar asações ambientais realizadas pelos alunos, em suas residências e na escola onde estudam. Aatividade foi desenvolvida em uma escola estadual da cidade de Porto Alegre/RS e contou com aatuação de três turmas do ensino fundamental. Para uma análise mais detalhada sobre suaspercepções e ações envoltas ao meio ambiente, foi aplicado um questionário com cinco perguntasenvolvendo suas ações na escola e em suas residências, bem como seus conhecimentos sobreo tema. Com respostas e argumentos sobre suas atitudes ecologicamente corretas, vê-se queações que contribuem com o meio ambiente são realizadas, mas ainda sem uma totalidade ou uminteresse grandiosos por determinados alunos. Com a percepção crítica aflorando, podemos ter aesperança de obter um mundo melhor pela frente.
