Our research investigates the connection between firm characteristics and leverage based on a sample of firms listed in the Chinese Stock Index 300. We aim to examine the sustainability of the financial structure of Chinese enterprises covering the period 2010–2019. We employ a conditional quantile regression that discloses the behavior of regressions across the leverage distribution and compares its results for different leverage levels with those achieved by the linear regression model. The results confirm the effects of the determinants of capital structure change since the quantile of leverage varies. We find that both the trade-off theory (TOT) and the pecking order theory (POT) confirm the validity of Chinese firms’ financing decisions at different quantiles of leverage. Specifically, the empirical results support the POT more over the TOT at higher levels of the quantile. Furthermore, the relationship between firm size and leverage strongly switches to support the POT at the highest quantile. All empirical results are obtained from quantile regression, consistent with the prediction for an increase in asymmetric information of the POT when Chinese firms employ more debt in their capital structure.
The quality of medical services provided by public hospitals has become a crucial principle in health. Awareness and satisfaction of patients are increasing in pace with technological processes and therapeutic procedures. Therefore, Romania's public hospitals must provide quality to patients and assure medical staff's efficiency and professionalism, a high level of satisfaction, and patient safety. This paper aimed to evaluate patient satisfaction measures used in Romania's Healthcare System. Between January and February 2019, an exploratory study was conducted. Data were collected through face-toface interviews based on a questionnaire only with patients who used the health system last year. The results showed that only 39.71% of Romanians are satisfied with the quality of medical services, which means that 61.29% of respondents are disappointed by the health system. Because it is free of charge, the public sector is the only option available for a wide range of patients. The study's results may be an essential basis in developing and successfully improving marketing research on the quality of medical services provided through public hospitals especially considering that Romania must improve the health care system perception. Findings suggest that traditional patient satisfaction measures fail, and new ways must be taken into consideration.
This study aims to analyze the relationships between corporate social responsibility and corporate financial performance using only content analysis from 1971 to 2018 available in all databases of Web of Knowledge. Our findings attempts to fill this void that past researchers are deepening because the uncertainty can be find in lots of papers. If there is a link between CSP and CFP is no longer the question. Our question is what kind of link is it and what is its impact? Some authors are proposing some kind of theories linking this concepts but we must understand better the implications for the companies.
Considering the technological and economic changes over the years, we have found that we are currently witnessing an increase in the information system in the future. In fact, it is found that the information domain has known divergence over time, significantly in practice. Therefore, it is not surprising that the academic recommendations are rarely adopted by practitioners in response to this problem, so it is suggested in the future a turn towards the practice.
Accounting it’s an important component of the economic information system. E. Horomnea believes that through specific means and procedures, accounting provides: clarifications of the past and the present of the economic entities, pertinent analyzes that are directed to the market; provides guidance on the strategic future; provides motivations and solutions for the decisions made. This article will analyze the evolution of managerial accounting from traditional costing to the new guidelines, when the issue of creating added value and managing third parties needs represents the future of any information system. After 1987 there are continuous changes and concerns, not only at Romanian level but at world wide scale.
