Durch Umsetzung von Li(Me3Si)PP(SiMe3)(CMe3) 1, Li(Me3Si)PP(CMe3)2 2, Li(Me3C)PP(SiMe3)(CMe3) 3 mit den Chlorphosphanen P(SiMe3)(CMe3)Cl, P(CMe3)2Cl, P(CMe3)Cl2 bilden sich die Triphosphane [(Me3C)(Me3Si)P]2P(SiMe3) 4, (Me3C)(Me3Si) PP(SiMe3)P(CMe3)2 6, [(Me3C)2P]2P(SiMe3) 7, (Me3C)(Me3Si)PP(SiMe3)P(CMe3)Cl 8. (Me3C)2PP(SiMe3)P (SiMe3)2 5 wird erst zugänglich durch Umsetzung von PCl3 mit P(SiMe3)(CMe3)2 [Bildung von (Me3C)2PPCl2], dessen Reaktion mit LiP(SiMe3)2 zu (Me3C)2PP(Cl)P(SiMe3)2 11, das mit LiCMe3 zum (Me3C)2PP(H)P(SiMe3)2 16 reagiert. 16 bildet mit LiBu (Me3C)2PP(Li)P(SiMe3)2 13, aus dem mit Me3SiCl 5 entsteht. 8 ist beständig. bei −70°C und cyclisiert beim Erwärmen unter Abspaltung von Me3SiCl zum P3(SiMe3)(CMe3)2. 7 bildet mit MeOH [(Me3C)2P]2PH. Das aus 5 mit LiBu gebildete (Me3C)2PP(Li)P(SiMe3)2 18 zerfällt unter Bildung von (Me3C)2PP(Li)(SiMe3), P(SiMe3)3, LiP(SiMe3)2, während (Me3C)2PP(Li)P(SiMe3)(CMe3) 19 und [(Me3C)2P]2PLi in etherischer Lösung beständig sind.
Die Li‐Phosphide 1, 2, 3 bilden mit BrH2CCH2Br die n‐Tetraphosphane (Me3C)(Me3Si)P [P(SiMe3)]2P(SiMe3)(CMe3) 23, (Me3C)2P[P(SiMe3)]2P(CMe3)2 24,(Me3C)(Me3Si)P[P(CMe3)]2P(SiMe3)(CMe3) 25. Li(Me3Si)PP(SiMe3)2 bildet mit BrH2CCH2Br(Me3Si)2P[P(SiMe3)]2P(SiMe3)2 26. So wie die n‐Triphosphane 4, 5, 6, 7 sind auch die n‐Tetraphosphane 23, 24, 25 in Kristalliner Form isolierbar. 23 bildet mit LiBu kein beständiges n‐Tetraphosphid, während aus 24 das etherbeständige (Me3C)2PP(Li)P(SiMe3)P(CMe3)2 entsteht. Mit MeOH bildet 24 das kristalline (Me3C)2PP(H)P(SiMe3)P(CMe3)2.
