Melon is one of the most important vegetable crops in the world. With short cycle in a system of phased planting, phytosanitary control is compromised, and a great volume of agricultural chemicals is used to control vegetable leafminer. Genetic control is an ideal alternative to avoid the damage caused by this insect. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate Cucumis accessions in regard to resistance to leafminer and correlate the variables analyzed. Fifty-four accessions and four commercial hybrids of melon were tested. The study was divided into two experiments: with and with no choice. The following characteristics were evaluated: with choice, in field - subjective score based on the infestation and the number of mines per leaf; and with no choice, in cage - number of mines per leaf, chlorophyll content, and leaf colorimetry. The results showed variability among the accessions and some genotypes showed favorable results for resistance in both experiments. There was correlation between the two variables in the experiment in the field. The accessions CNPH 11-282, CNPH 06-1047, and CNPH 11-1077 are the most recommended for future breeding programs with aim on introgression of resistance to vegetable leafminer in melon.
Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar produções textuais de alunos de 6º ano do ensino fundamental II, verificando como são utilizadas por eles as categorias dos organizadores temporais - advérbios e conjunções subordinativas - e dos pronomes no gênero conto popular. Tomamos como teorias de base as propostas de Adam (2008) e de Bronckart (2007) - este último tem o caráter, na pesquisa, de complementar o primeiro autor - , e como metodologia nos utilizamos da proposta de Schneuwly e Dolz (2004). Pudemos concluir com a pesquisa que as duas categorias e a orientação dada pelo professor para a produção de textos em sala de aula auxiliam na construção do texto narrativo.

Methods This was a clinic evaluation using a rapid molecular test for CT/NG (Cepheid GeneXpert; 90 minute turnaround) combined with non-molecular POCTs for Trichomonas vaginalis (OSOM), Bacterial vaginosis (Alere VS-Sense) and automated urinary white cell count (WCC) for urethritis (Alere UF-100). Contacts of CT/NG, males with symptoms of urethritis, and symptomatic females provided samples immediately on arrival, prior to clinical consultation. Patients also concurrently had routine culture and microscopy. AbstractOf eighteen patients providing feedback, all but one found providing samples on arrival acceptable; waiting < 2 hours was acceptable to all, but waiting > 2 hours was seen as too long. All patients waited for the results of their non-molecular POCT but only three of nineteen men waited for the rapid GeneXpert results, despite six being positive. All positive patients were given appropriate empirical treatment. A third of women waited despite all being GeneXpert negative. The TV and BV POCTs detected more cases than microscopy, and urethral smear detected more urethritis than automated WCC. Conclusion Despite the provision of genital samples on arrival being acceptable and patients liking the idea of receiving results in the same clinical visit, only a quarter of all patients waited for their GeneXpert results. Larger studies to evaluate the clinical impact of rapid molecular testing in clinic are required before any large scale implementation is considered.

Assim, o presente estudo tem como propósito investigar as dificuldades na compreensão dos alunos de 9º ano quanto à consolidação da habilidade do D17 da matriz de referência de língua portuguesa do SPAECE, na E.E.F.
