Environmental education subject aims to form students who have the character to maintain the environment. One effort to achieve the objectives of the Environmental education subject is the local Environmental Education Textbook Based on Local Potencies. This research was aimed to produce textbook of environment-based education subject Environmental education based on local potencies. This research and development using Borg & Gall model (1983). This study uses only five stages of the Borg & Gall model, namely (1) need analysis, (2) planning, (3) develop preliminary form of product, (4) preliminary field testing, and (5) main product revision, due to time constraints and cost. The results of the research and development that has been done is a textbook of environmental education based on local potencies that is suitable for use in semester 5 collage level.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Tana Tidung mengalami miskonsepsipada konsep fotosintesis. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif denganmenggunakan metode survey. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah sampel jenuh yaitu mengambilsemua populasi sebagai sampel penelitian. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa soal pilihanganda dengan alasan terbuka yang disertai dengan alasan dan kolom CRI atau tingkat keyakinan siswa. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 34.18% siswa yang paham konsep, 9.69% siswa yang paham konseptapi tidak yakin, 36.37% siswa mengalami miskonsepsi, dan 19.59 siswa yang tidak mengetahui konsep.Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi adalah pada topik proses fotosintesis,dimana jumlah pada kategori ini melebihi kategori yang lain. Miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa lebih banyakterjadi pada informasi tentang gas yang dilepaskan oleh tumbuhan pada proses fotosintesis.
This study aimed to analyze students’ interest in learning Biologi and factors that influenced the interest among the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Tarakan. This survey research used a quantitative descriptive approach. The subjects were 74 students of the SMP Negeri 3 Tarakan, teachers of science subject and parents of students. Data ware collected by distributing online questionnaires with two repetitions, interviewing the teachers and the parents, and observations during learning. The collected data ware analyzed quantitatively and descriptively. The results showed that in the first repetition, the students’ interest level in the material of the digestive system was moderate with a percentage value of 70.27% or a frequency of 52 students. Meanwhile, in the second repetition, students’ interest level on the material of the digestive system was moderate with a percentage value of 66.21% or a frequency of 49 students. Factors that influenced student interest in the first repetition repetition were subject matter (48.64%), facilities and infrastructure (63.51%), student activities with the community (64.78%), categorized as quite influential. In the second repetition, factors that affected student interest were the subject matter (54.05%) and student activities with the community (63.51%), cantegorized as quite influential. So, it could be concluded that the interest of student with two repetitions was in the moderate category, while the dominant factors that influenced their interest were subject matter and student activities with the community. <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui keragaman jenis nephenthes yang ada di Hutan Pertamina Juata Tarakan, Kalimantan Utara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian <em>Research and Development</em> (R&D) mengacu pada model pengembangan <em>Borg And Gall.</em> Tahap <em>Research</em> dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data tentang keragaman nephenthes yang terdapat di 9 Hutan Kota Tarakan. Pendekatan yang digunakan tahap ini adalah pendekatan eksploratif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan eksplorasi keragaman nephenthes di 9 hutan yang terdapat di Kota Tarakan. Namun, data hasil penelitian yang disajikan dalam artikel ini merupakan data hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di Hutan Pertamina Tarakan. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data berupa dokumentasi, dan lembar identifikasi nephenthes. Metode pengambilan data dilakukan dengan metode petak dan jelajah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian,diperoleh 4 jenis nephenthes yang ditemukan, yaitu: <em>N. ampullaria, N. raflessiana, N. gracillis</em>, dan <em>N. xhookeriana</em>. Data hasil penelitian ini kemudian digunakan sebagai data awal untuk mengembangkan produk berupa ensiklopedia nephenthes. Ensiklopedia nephenthes yang dikembangkan dan digunakan sebagai sumber belajar mata kuliah Ekologi Tumbuhan</p>

The research method used in this research is classroom action research. Subjects in this study is a class A1 Department of Biology education FKIP University of Borneo Tarakan. The instruments used in this research are test and observation sheet. Analysis of test result data is done descriptively quantitative with percentage technique. The results showed that the use of textbooks based on local potential of Tarakan can improve learning outcomes in the form of students' understanding of biodiversity and natural resource management in the city of Tarakan. Student learning outcomes in cycle 1 of 33.33% and on the second cycle of 94.44%.
