Fruit is a reproductive organ that plays an important role in plants for plant propagation and seed dispersal. Seeds will be formed due to the process of pollination and fertilization. In some types of fruit, seed in the fruit is not expected, therfore recently many study have been conducted to develop seedless fruit (parthenocarpic fruit). Seedless fruit consists of two main groups namely natural and artificial partenocarpic.Bananas, tomatoes, and mangosteen are examples of natural parthenocarpy plants. Artificial parthenokarpi fruit can be developed in several methods including the use of plant hormone i.e. auksin or gibberellin, pollen iridiation, changes in chromosome number, gene silencing, gene modification, and genome editing tools. In this review, it is explained about the formation of parthenocarp fruit through a biotechnology approach.
Kombucha bunga telang selain berpotensi sebagai minuman probiotik dalam meningkatkan sistem kekebalan tubuh memiliki potensi juga sebagai bahan aktif sabun cuci tangan dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus epidermidis, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, dan Escherichia coli. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat formulasi dan sediaan sabun cuci tangan yang berbahan aktif larutan fermentasi kombucha bunga telang dengan konsentrasi gula 20%, 30%, dan 40%. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental laboratorium dengan membuat 4 sediaan sabun cuci tangan dan menyediakan sabun cuci tangan pasaran untuk diuji pada ketiga pertumbuhan bakteri uji melalui metode difusi cakram. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah ANOVA satu jalur dilanjut melalui Analisis pos hoc. Hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa sabun cuci tangan yang berbahan aktif larutan fermentasi kombucha bunga telang berkolerasi secara positif dalam menghambat ketiga pertumbuhan bakteri uji. Konsentrasi 40% pada sediaan sabun cuci tangan kombucha bunga telang berbeda nyata secara signifikan dengan nilai F tabel lebih kecil dibanding F hitung (P<0,05) pada konsentrasi 20%, 30%, dan basis sabun. Namun tidak berbeda nyata dengan sabun cuci tangan yang tersedia dipasaran dalam menghambat ketiga pertumbuhan bakteri uji. Konsentrasi 40% (sabun cuci tangan kombucha bunga telang) konsentrasi terbaik dari seluruh perlakuan dalam menghambat ketiga pertumbuhan bakteri uji.
Telang lower kombucha is a probiotic drink that has the potential to enhance the immune system, active cosmetic ingredients, and its waste has been proven to be used as an organic liquid fertilizer preparation. The purpose of this study was to make a formulation and preparation of liquid bath soap with an active ingredient in a solution of seagrass kombucha fermentation at a sugar concentration of 20%, 30%, and 40% in inhibiting the growth of S. capitis, B. cereus, and P. dispersa bacteria. via the disc diffusion method. The results of the study have proven that based on the post hoc test analysis, kombucha bath soap at a concentration of 40% is significantly different from the concentration of 20% and 30% but not significantly different from the positive control and the concentration of 40% is the best concentration in inhibiting the growth of the three test bacteria. compared with the treatment and the two comparisons.
