El presente es un manual o texto didáctico que sirve a la educación para la paz desde el relato y con la participación de las víctimas (testigos o dolientes) de la violencia organizada. Su punto de partida es un trabajo de campo que consistió en entrevistar a víctimas morales, directas e indirectas, con base en una metodología de enfoque fenomenológico. Del manual emerge un taller, un proceso de intervención que podrá desplegarse en escuelas de educación media y superior, para concientizar, comprometer y formar hábitos a favor de la paz entre los jóvenes participantes. El proceso reclama una presencia diversa, según sus etapas, de los testigos del horror o las víctimas. Con ello se da cauce, por un lado, a una intervención psicopedagógica basada en la ética de la receptividad; y se consigue, por otro, que en el ámbito escolar comience a ser saldada la deuda que la sociedad y sus instituciones tienen, por olvido y por omisión, para con las víctimas. Por lo anterior, este manual constituye una propuesta formativa novedosa a favor de la paz en una sociedad carcomida y azotada por la violencia criminal (y la estructural). Es una aportación muy importante para comenzar a llenar el gran vacío existente en este campo.
