ABSTRACT. Morphology and biology of immatures of Euschistus hansi (Hemiptera, Heteroptera, Pentatomidae). The immature stages of Euschistus hansi Grazia, 1987 are described and illustrated, with emphasis on the external morphological characters of the egg and five instars. Adults and nymphs were fed on fresh branches and ripe fruits of " ligustro", Ligustrum lucidum Ait. (Oleaceae). Nymphs of E. hansi are compared to previously described immatures of other Neotropical species of Euschistus Dallas, 1851: E. heros (Fabricius, 1798), E. sulcacitus Rolston, 1971 and E. bifibulus (Palisot de Beauvois, 1805). Biological data are also provided. A importância da identificação correta dos estágios imaturos é relativamente recente e vem sendo ampliada pelo acréscimo do número de especialistas que se preocupam com manejo de pragas (GRAZIA & FREY-DA-SILVA, 2001). O conhecimento das formas jovens permite a identificação precoce das espécies e seu estudo reveste-se de grande importância taxonômica, ecológica e econômica (BRAILOVSKY et al., 1992). O estudo dos estágios imaturos de pentatomídeos, com ênfase em espécies de importância agrícola, vem sendo incrementado nos últimos anos; entre os estudos realizados com imaturos, podem ser citados os trabalhos de GRAZIA & FREY-DA-SILVA (2001), SCHWERTNER et al.
