Resumo: Este artigo tem como proposta problematizar a concepção de plantão social, que vigora no interior do Serviço Social, discutindo tal estratégica como espaço privilegiado para identifi cação/notifi cação de casos de violência praticada contra crianças e adolescentes. Pretende-se ainda refl etir sobre os limites e possibilidades de avanço na emancipação dos sujeitos (crianças e adolescentes) vitimizados pela violência doméstica, a partir de uma prática profi ssional comprometida com a ampliação da cidadania e a defesa intransigente dos direitos humanos.Palavras-chave: Serviço Social. Notifi cação.Abstract: This article proposes to question the concept of social duty inside the Social Services.It discusses such a strategy as a privileged space for identifi cation/notice of violence cases against children and adolescents. It still intends to consider the limits and possibilities of progress in the emancipation of the subjects (children and adolescents) who are the victims of domestic violence, from a professional practice committed to the enlargement of citizenship and the uncompromising defense of human rights.
