La planificación de las ubicaciones de los transmisores de televisión digital en el formato DVB-T, por parte de los proveedores de servicio de televisión abierta debe asegurar la cobertura apropiada en un área específica, y los usuarios recibir la programación y contenidos que proporcionan las mismas. El propósito de esta investigación es el desarrollo del estudio y el análisis de las intensidades de campo eléctrico de las señales de televisión digital mediante el diseño de una unidad captadora de datos basados en un receptor SDR y una tarjeta raspberry pi 3. Todo esto permitió analizar 16 canales digitales de la televisión abierta, que al momento del estudio se mantenían operativas, lo cual establece, que el nivel de cobertura por parte de los 16 canales digitales es de 68.75% con márgenes de cobertura del 95%, en los corregimientos de Ancón, Bethania y Bella Vista. En las mediciones se logró obtener un promedio de 1260 muestras por cada canal, utilizando las recomendaciones de medición y análisis de cobertura establecidos por la Unión Internacional de Telecomunicaciones (UIT) en un área de estudio de, aproximadamente, 10.596 Km2. Los datos fueron validados con una herramienta de predicción de cobertura.
