Principles, methods and possibilities for design and implementation of CMOS parallel analog to multiple-valued digital signal converters for multiple-valued (MV) digital systems are considered and proposed in this paper. Such converters perform conversion from analog signal into any MV digital signal that use any MV logic basis. General principle and structure for design of parallel CMOS analog to MV digital converters are proposed and described. Circuits of two digit CMOS analog to MV digital signal converters are described as an illustration of the converters design. Two types of the converters are described: powerful type converters and simple type converters. Design and implementation of CMOS converters of analog signal to so called quinary digital signal (with logic basis of 5) are shown as examples of the design. Proposed solutions were analyzed by computer simulations and all descriptions and considerations were confirmed by the simulations.
