Research on free fall motion has been conducted in May 2021. This study aims to determine the value of gravitational acceleration using the concept of free fall motion. This research was conducted at the Physic Workshop, University of Flores, Sam Ratulangie Street, Ende, NTT. There are two objects to be measured for the value of acceleration of gravity, namely marbels and balloons using nails clipping loads that are dropped from different height variations. For the first experiment the free fall motion of a marble, the heights used are 100cm, 70cm, and 60cm. then for the second experiment the free fall motion of the ballon used a weight from a nail clip with a height of 100 cm, 70cm, and 30cm. This research use the Phypox sensor application on a Smarthphone as the basis of experimental measuremeants which in the application can be clearly read how long it takes for objects to reach the ground. The value of the acceleration due to gravity is 10 m/s 2 with a direction toward the center of gravity, this is in accordance with the theoretical acceleration due to gravity that the value of the acceleration due to gravity is between 9.8 m/s 2 to 10 m/s 2 , and the difference in the type of object used does not affect the gravitational acceleration of an object.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
