The PET fabric surface was modified with ultraviolet radiation and nano-TiO2. The wettability and the broken strength of the modified PET fabric were studied. The results showed that with the increase of the ultraviolet radiation irradiation, the water contact angles of modified PET fabrics decreased greatly. Water contact angle of PET fabric modified with 40g/L nano-TIO2 and 60 min ultraviolet radiation irradiation could decreased to zero in 4.11 seconds. And the capillary rise height of modified PET fabric could increase from 1.1 mm to 110.2 mm. The spraying rate of modified fabric could decrease from 4 to 1 degree, and the water absorption could increase 89.86%. These showed the hydrophobic PET fabric could be modified to super hydrophilic PET fabric. The broken strength of modified PET fabric not only did not decrease, but also increased a little. The broken elongation kept well.
Wearability of polyester textile is very outstanding in chemical fabric;silkworm pupae protein has good biocompatibility. In order to make a new kind of polyester textile which not only has good wearability, but also has good biocompatibility, the polyester fibers were semi-encased with sucrose ester to endue polyester fibers with reacting hydroxyl groups, and then silkworm pupae protein was grafted on surface of polyester fiber textile with a crosslinkage compound in this study. The structure of polyester textile grafted with silkworm pupae protein were studied by SEM, X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). The polyester fibers were enclosed by layer of materials in SEM, X-ray diffraction showed silkworm pupae protein was random coil conformation, DSC exhibited the thermal property of polyester fibers almost did not change. The wearability of polyester fabric grafted silkworm pupae protein was measured too. With the increase of grafting silkworm pupae protein rate on polyester fabric, moisture permeability of polyester fabric increased firstly and decreased a little subsequently, the moister regain increased monotonously, the cockle elasticity decreased a little, the whiteness almost did not change, and flexural stiffness increased a little.
In this paper, the flame retardant HAS was applied to imparting flame retardance to polyester fabric. The result showed that the flame retardance of polyester fabric improved a lot. The limiting oxygen index increased while the concentration of HAS solution and temperature increased. Whiteness and elastic recovery angle decreased while the concentration of HAS solution increased. Found a good match to the concentration and temperature, the limiting oxygen index could increase to 29% while whiteness and elastic recovery angle kept well.
In this paper, natural bamboo yarn and silkworm silk, bamboo pulp yarn and silkworm silk were twisted together to make bamboo silk yarn. And then they were weaved to bamboo silk fabric. The properties of bamboo silk fabrics were studied too. The results showed that bamboo pulp silk fabric was very soft, suitable to make underwear and shirt etc. Natural bamboo silk fabric was relative stiff, suitable to make outwear. All the bamboo silk fabric had wonderful anti statistic property; their cockle elasticity property was equal to silk; the whiteness, moisture regain and moisture permeability were very good. These showed the bamboo silk fabric not only had the properties of bamboo fibers, but also had the properties of pure silk fabric. Then they were suitable to be fabric of garments.
With octyl butyl dimethyl ammonium bromide (OBDAB) as accelerant, adsorption kinetics of dyeing silk with three reactive dyes was studied in this paper. As concentration of OBDAB increased, the dye-uptake rate increased. The highest dye-uptake rates of three reactive dyes could reach to 89.40%~98.98% and the concentration of OBDAB was only 6-8g/L. This showed OBDAB was an effective accelerant. Pseudo first- and second-order kinetic models were used to analyze the adsorption kinetic data. The experimental data were found to follow the second-order kinetic model. Meanwhile, the initial dye adsorption rates of reactive red dye B-3BF, reactive yellow dye B-4RFN and reactive orange dye B-2RLN increased as temperature increased, and the activation energy of them were found respectively to be 28.42,13.14,32.90 kJ/mol.The positive values of and obtained indicated that reactive dyes adsorption with OBDAB as accelerant was an endothermic process. The conclusion showed OBDAB was a potential accelerant.
