A high-temperature superconducting (HTS) bus conductor with a capacity of
20 kA and 5 m long has been constructed. The HTS bus was wound by hermetic
stainless-steel-reinforced multifilamentary Bi2223/Ag tapes. Its structure is multilayer
by clockwise and anticlockwise winding with different winding spiral pitch and
angle based on a conventional uniform current approach. The joint technology
between HTS tapes and terminations is developed in order to ensure that the
resistances between them are as small as possible. Fundamental characteristics of
the HTS bus conductor are obtained at the liquid nitrogen temperature of 77 K.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
