A criação do Panhellenion durante o sec. II d.C. foi tanto um projeto de iniciativa imperial quanto das elites provinciais que procuravam integrar a Grécia com o Império Romano. Com função delegada a organização de cultos, de jogos e de festivais pan-helênicos na Grécia, a liga foi um conselho sediado em Atenas que cultivou uma concepção de identidade pan-helênica muito especifica. Esse aspecto ficou evidente tanto nas inscrições que registram as associações das cidades gregas à liga quanto no programa construtivo empregado em Atenas por Adriano. Dessa maneira, este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a criação do Panhellenion como um projeto consciente de política identitária, tendo em vista que a liga institucionalizou uma ideia de pan-helenismo decorrente, sobretudo, de uma leitura romana sobre a Grécia. Além disso, a escolha por Atenas como sede do conselho propiciou sua consolidação como ponto convergente da integração das cidades gregas com Roma.

O presente artigo tem como objetivo identificar as particularidades da procissão celebrada entre Atenas e Elêusis durante os Mistérios Eleusinos no Período Romano (Séc. II - III d.C.) a partir de evidências constatadas em fontes de diferentes naturezas (textual, topográfica/arquitetônica e epigráfica). Procura-se compreender os aspectos relativos à permanência da tradiç ão ancestral eleusina e identificar inovações próprias dos estratos históricos romanos, cujas evidências podem ser observadas tanto na organização da procissão quanto nas intervenções construtivas dos santuários (Elêusis e o Eleusinion de Atenas) e da via sacra (hierá hodós).
