Este artículo presenta un estudio de evaluación económica y clasificación de residuos de construcción y demolición (RCD) en un proyecto real ubicado en la Región Metropolitana, Chile. Chile genera más de cinco millones y medio de toneladas de RC&D al año y afectan de múltiples maneras el medio ambiente. A su vez, los RC&D son un síntoma de problemas de productividad. Una adecuada gestión de los residuos requiere una cuantificación de los mismos. Sin embargo, se observa una carencia en la literatura relacionada a la cuantificación de los volúmenes de residuos y su impacto económico (generación, transporte y disposición final). Se encuentra que el volumen de residuos generados por superficie construida para este caso de estudio es de 0,186 m 3 /m 2 de RCD con un costo total de 188.234,44 US$ correspondiente al 1,19% del presupuesto. Así mismo, el costo ponderado de la gestión del RCD se estimó en 75,47 US$/m 3 .

The national and international overview has shown that residential energy consumption is increasing. As a result, efforts have focused on reducing the initial demand for housing and its associated consumption. One of the most used tools for this purpose is bottom-up energy modelling, specifically on the archetypes branch. This method proposes that energy demand of a dwelling can estimated from the interaction of several parameters and factors. However, the method's main limitation, is the complexity of defining the variables and factors to be used. This article presents a review of specialized literature, concerned with, determining and characterizing residential archetypes. From this literature, It was possible to determine the most influential factors in energy consumption. The results showed 19 factors that were categorized into five groups; general, geometric, thermal, operational, and systems and equipment characteristics. The applicability of these factors to Chile was verified. This article, is intended a guide to generating representative archetypes and characterizing dwellings in an efficiente manner.Key words: energy efficiency, bottom-up modelling, archetypes, residential energy consumption, urban energy simulation. ResumenEl panorama nacional e internacional han demostrado que el consumo energético residencial está en alza. Por lo cual, los esfuerzos se han centrado en disminuir la demanda inicial de las viviendas y su consumo asociado. Para esto, una de las herramientas más utilizadas corresponde metodología bottom-up, específicamente del tipo arquetipos. Esta propone, que, a través de la interacción de diversos parámetros y factores, se puede obtener demanda energética de una vivienda, generando así arquetipos representativos del stock de viviendas simuladas, el cual se puede extrapolar a distintos niveles. Sin embargo, la principal limitante, corresponde a la complejidad de definir las variables y factores a utilizar. Este artículo presenta una revisión de literatura especializada, donde se compilaron las variables, más utilizadas en el consumo energético, para determinar y caracterizar arquetipos residenciales. Se obtuvieron 19 variables las que se categorizaron en cinco niveles; características generales, geométricas, térmicas y operacionales, y de equipamiento y sistemaas, a las que, se les verificó su aplicabilidad en Chile. A través de este artículo se pretende generar una guía que permita realizar una caracterización eficiente de las viviendas y su contextualización, de manera que los arquetipos que se puedan generar sean lo más representativos posibles.Palabras Claves: eficiencia energética, modelación bottom-up, arquetipos, consumo energético residencial, simulación energética urbana.

Resumen Los Estados miembros de la Unión Europea se han comprometido a reducir para el 2020 el consumo de energía primaria en un 20%. Dado que el consumo de energía en los edificios residenciales y comerciales representa aproximadamente un 40% del consumo total de energía final, se han definido una serie de políticas de Eficiencia Energética que mejoren el desempeño energético de las viviendas a modo de contribuir con el objetivo planteado. Global warming will affect the heating and cooling energy demands of houses. Thus, it is necessary to measure this impact in different areas of a country to influence future public policies, guidelines, and regulations. This paper proposes to forecast the energy demand for five house archetypes located in eight cities in Chile. These archetypes are thermally insulated according to current regulatory standards given by the country. They were simulated using the simplified hourly model from the international standards ISO 13790, considering climatic conditions between 1990 and 2010 and projected climatic conditions between 2045 and 2054. Three climatology models: a) Model for Interdisciplinary Research on Climate (MIROC-ESM), b) Institut Pierre Simon Laplace Climate System Model 5 (IPSL-CM5A), and c) Community Climate System Model (CCSM4) in the context of two representative concentration pathways: 4.5 and 8.5 W/m2 are used to forecast future climate. The most significant results show that energy demand for heating could decrease by 35% on average while cooling energy demand could significantly increase for cities such as Antofagasta and Santiago.

Faced with implementing policies that seek to improve the energy efficiency of housing and reduce the impact of CO 2 emissions, several countries are introducing (unilaterally or by international agreement) energy certification systems that allow the effects of these policies to be evaluated. This study aims to compare the energy efficiency certification systems in Spain and Chile, identifying convergent and divergent parameters, enabling the existing gaps to be identified and improvements noted for both systems. To do so, 20 sample dwellings in Santiago de Chile were evaluated, along with the local calculating tools in both countries. The analysis considered the aspects of regulation, its reach, the characterization of the models and the necessary indicators. The comparison identified, among others, differences such as obligatory implementation of the system, a study of the existing buildings in the focus area, the prevailing indicators for evaluating the effects of the buildings, the low incidence of mixed energy systems in the Chilean system and the possibility of proposing and evaluating improvements in the Spanish system. As a result, higher energy requirements and greater CO 2 emissions were identified in the Chilean system, reaching differences of 42 kWh/m 2 /year in consumption and 14 kgCO 2 / m 2 /year in emissions with regard to the Spanish qualification. The results of this comparison have facilitated the identification of improvements that will increase the evaluation standards of the Chilean system.
