Adisseminação do uso de carvão como adjuvante de fertilidade do solo depende do desenvolvimento de tecnologias que tragam benefícios comerciais também no curto prazo. Desse modo, o objetivo desse artigoconsistiu na avaliação da interação do biocarvão com a fertilização convencional (NPK 4:30:16) e o bioinoculante (Rhizobium tropici). Para tal, foi aplicada a metodologia do Delineamento Central Composto Rotacional(DCCR) tendo como variável resposta a avaliação da produtividade do feijoeiro, nodulação de raiz e pH do solo das parcelas experimentais. O experimento foi realizado em duplicata, com dois pontos centrais. Observou-se que as interações das variáveis testadas foram significativas (p < 0,05) para a produtividade do feijoeiro, sendo que o maior estímulo foi observado nos níveis +1 de R.tropici, biocarvão e NPK. Entretanto, o incremento no estímulo à produtividade foi menor nos níveis mais altos das variáveis estudadas, indicando uma relação de custo-benefício ideal de NPK 4:30:16 e R.tropici compatível com as recomendações feitas pela literatura especializada e adição de 7,5% m/m de biocarvão. Assim, nossos resultados indicam que, aplicado nessas proporções,o biocarvão otimize o rendimento da produção agrícola quando aliado a técnicas tradicionais de fertilização.
