INTRODUCCIÓNLa lesión del conducto torácico es una complicación poco común y sin tratamiento que tiene una alta morbimortalidad. Se produce posterior a cirugías torácicas complejas (como l a e x c i s i ó n d e t u m o r e s m e d i a s t i n a l e s posteriores, neumonectomías, esofaguect o m í a s , s i m p a t e c t o m í a s ) , a c i r u g í a s cardiovasculares (derivación aortocoronaria, aneurisma de aorta toráxica), a traumatismo de columna vertebral, cirugías espinales y disecciones extensas del cuello ( 1-5 ). Se manifiesta clínicamente como quilotórax, quilopericardio o fístula quilosa.
