The problem and the aim of the study: The demand for human resources with language skills in the globalization era is very high. This is because many companies require active and passive language skills as the main criteria for workforce recruitment. In Indonesia, Arabic teaching institutions are categorized into two forms, namely those that teach with communication skills orientation (ma'had) and those with an orientation to understand the concept as an Islamic knowledge source (Islamic boarding schools). This difference causes varied output skills of each institution. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze which output is more relevant to the skills needed in this globalization era. Methods: This study was designed with a quantitative approach. The data source was ma'had and Islamic boarding school graduates who continued their studies at the Islamic Faculty of West Sumatra, Muhammadiyah University with a total of 43 students. Furthermore, data were obtained through tests that included four language skills, and then analyzed using ME as well as T test. Results: It was found that ma'had and Islamic boarding school graduates have advantage in language skill. This is based on data which showed that they have advantage in speaking, but weak in reading and writing. Meanwhile, the Islamic boarding school graduates have advantage in reading and writing, but the listening skills of graduates from both institutions are balanced. Conclusion: Language skills in listening and communication aspects are essential as interpreters, tour guides, consultants and other opportunities. Meanwhile, human resources with writing skills are needed in the field of manuscript translation and text analysis. Therefore, both graduates have the same opportunity in the globalization era but with different contents.
Kegiatan pendampingan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan pengetahuan mahasiswa prodi pendidikan bahasa Arab dalam menyelesaikan studi khususnya dalam penulisan karya ilmiah. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan adalah seminar dan pelatihan. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Pada tahap persiapan, tim pengabdi menganalisis kebutuhan mahasiswa dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pada tahap pelaksanaan dilaksanakan pelatihan penulisan karya ilmiah via zoom meeting dengan 6 pemateri handal yang akan menjelaskan alur penulisan karya ilmiah, mulai dari cara menemukan masalah, menentukan judul, menetapkan metode penelitian kualitatif, kuantitatif, dan metode penelitian pengembangan. Tahap evaluasi, diisi dengan menganalisis respon mahasiswa terhadap pelatihan yang dilakukan. Berdasarkan isin pada daftar eavluasi, didapatkan respon positif dari peserta pelatihan, bahwa peserta menjadi paham teknik penulisan karya ilmiah dan merasa mudah untuk memulai menulis karya ilmiah.
The current rapid development of technology becomes an alternative for learning continuity, especially in the Covid-19 conditions. However, many educators cannot apply the technology related to Arabic learning. This study described the Arabic learning model by utilizing YouTube and google drive. The findings of this study were that the learning materials arranged in accordance with the learning implementation plan, then entered into Google Drive. The videos related to the material were distributed to students to listen and recorded what they heard. The novelty of this research is that the YGD combination can be a solution for online language learning such as the Covid-19 condition. While the weaknesses of research are related to language learning material in the grammatical aspect where the model cannot be found, so it can be the work of future researchers.
Vocabulary is a important element in learning Arabic. Without learning it is impossible to master language skills, namely listening, speaking, reading and writing. But student’s understanding of vocabulary is still lacking, one of the contributing factors is the teachers still use conventional media. This article focus on developing vocabulary learning media using Benime. The purpose of this study was described of need analysis, design, develop and disseminate of vocabulary learning media using Benime. The method used is Research and Development with model 4D. The results showed that needs analysis of teacher with the value of 100 % and students of 90,16 %. Assessment of media validator 88,88 % and matter validator 82,14 %. Practicality of the media based on teacher responses shows the value 91,50% and students responseof 86,76 %. The effectiveness of the media seen from the pretest results 70,14 and posttest results 92,50.
Pengetahuan terkait kesehatan sangatlah penting diberikan pada usia anak lulusan Sekolah menengah pertama yang akan masuk jenjang Sekolah Menengah Atas mengingat siswa mengalami perubahan fisik, fisiologis, dan psikologis cukup signifikan. Aktifitas tersebut tepat diberikan pada masa pengenalan lingkungan sekolah ( \MPLS) sebagai awal pembelajaran siswa baru. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pembekalan pada siswa baru tentang informasi dan gambaran menyeluruh tentang kesehatan sebagai faktor penting dalam mendukung tercapainya cita-citanya. Metode yang dilakukan adalah penyuluhan Kesehatan dengan pendekatan, ceramah, diskusi, dan tanya jawab. Selain itu, juga dilakukan pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan bagi semua siswa serta pengukuran lingkar lengan atas bagi siswa putri. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh semua siswa baru berjumlah 288 yang terdiri dari 179 siswa perempuan dan 109 siswa laki-laki pada tanggal 19 Juli 2022 di SMA 3 Kota Tarakan, Kalimantan Utara. Kegiatan ini berjalan sukses ditandai dengan antusiasme peserta dan banyaknya pertanyaan yang masuk saat sesi tanya jawab. Rekomendasi untuk kegiatan MPLS tahun berikutnya adalah tetap mempertahankan materi terkait pendidikan kesehatan komprehensif.
