This study aims to see the development of research Islamic Bank Productivity around the world published by journals with that theme. This study used a qualitative method with a bibliometric analysis approach. The data used is secondary data with the theme Islamic Bank Productivity derived from the Scopus database for 2005-2022. Then, the data was processed and analyzed using the VosViewer application with the aim of knowing the research development bibliometric map Islamic Bank Productivity in this world. The results of the study found that the authors, organizations, and countries with the most publications were dominated by Malaysia. Next, Islamic Bank Productivity based on the bibliometric keyword mapping, there are 4 clusters which are research lines in the existing literature, namely the determinants of Islamic bank productivity, the effect of capital on Islamic bank productivity, the effect of macroeconomic variables on Islamic bank productivity, and the effect of interest rates on Islamic bank productivity.
Zakat institutions play an important role in managing zakat productively, with the aim that the funds collected can be distributed in an appropriate manner to achieve welfare and social justice. The purpose of this research is to analyze the productivity of zakat institutions in Indonesia using the Malmquist Productivity Index (MPI) method with the 2016-2020 research period. The research object used is 15 zakat institutions in Indonesia. The data from this study comes from the annual financial reports of each institution from the 2016-2020 period. The input variables used are total assets, operational costs, and employee costs. Meanwhile, the output variable used is the amount of collection and distribution of zakat. The results of the study show that in general, zakat institutions experience increased productivity over time. Zakat institutions originating from mass organizations have the highest average productivity compared to other organizations. If productivity is seen from year to year in each institution, the institution with optimal productivity in all years of observation is LAZ Al-Azhar.
Waqf has an important role not only in terms of spirituality but also from a social aspect. This study aims to measure the efficiency of waqf funds managed by zakat institutions in Indonesia using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method with a research period of 2013-2021. The research object used is fifteen zakat institutions that manage waqf funds in Indonesia. The data for this study comes from the annual financial reports of each institution for the 2013-2021 period. The input variables in this study are operating expenses and assets. And for the output variable is the collection and distribution of waqf funds. The results of this study found that the efficiency of waqf management has fluctuated from year to year and tends to increase, and the highest increase in management efficiency by institutions occurs in 2020 to 2021. Based on potential improvements, the highest inefficiencies come from distribution and collection with output-oriented analysis. Meanwhile, based on the orientation of inputs, assets and operating expenses, it also causes inefficiencies in the management of waqf funds.
In the last few decades, socially responsible investment has become a topic that has been studied more and more. This study aims to analyze the literature on socially responsible investment by covering research trends and future research directions. A total of 1,218 articles from Scopus with publications ranging from 1979-2023 were analyzed using the VOSViewer software. The quantitative approach is used in the bibliometric analysis, and the qualitative approach is used in the literature study. The findings in this study include research clusters divided into four paths: the practice/implementation of socially responsible investments, the performance of socially responsible investments, the influence of investor knowledge on socially responsible investments, and the impact of socially responsible investments.
