The evaluation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for performance enhancement in public sector organizations is a crucial concept due to its different nature from private concerns. The objectives of this paper are to explore the relationship of the common performance enhancement factors in the context of the gap between the real and ideal ERP performance of public sector organizations in Pakistan and to explore the overall difference between the ideal and real ERP performance in those organizations to provide some guidelines to the public sector in Pakistan. The difference between the ideal, i.e., the expectations of the organization before implementing ERP, and the real performance of ERP in Pakistani public sector organizations is the main source of identifying the impact of common performance indicators on the ERP overall performance. Different researches have been conducted to find the critical success factors in various areas of ERP, like strategic, managerial, technical, and contextual factors, but the impact of the common factors that affect the ERP performance as a whole has never been investigated. Little research has been conducted on the performance factors, especially in the large-scale public sector organizations in developing countries like Pakistan. We performed data analysis considering descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, correlation analysis both in ideal and existing situations, and paired sample t-test. We found, based on the paired sample t-test, that there is no gap between the ideal and existing ERP systems for time and database variables, but there is a gap between the ideal and existing ERP systems in functionality, user-friendliness, flexibility, reliability, service, vendor support, and the overall performance of the ERP system deployed in the government sector of Pakistan.
This paper analyzes the robust stability of an uncertain aircraft model in which a key parameter, the location of the aircraft's center of gravity, is modeled as a real parametric uncertainty. A robust controller is specified and the stability bounds of the uncertain closed-loop system are determined using the small gain, circle, positive real, and Popov criteria. A graphical approach is employed in order to demonstrate the ease with which the above robustness tests can be carried out on a problem of practical interest. A significant improvement in stability bounds is observed as the analysis moves from the small gain test to the circle, positive real, and Popov tests. In particular, small gain analysis results in the most conservative robust stability bounds, while Popov analysis yields significantly less conservative bounds. This is because traditional small gain type tests allow the uncertainty to be arbitrarily time-varying, whereas Popov analysis restricts the uncertainty to be constant, real parametric uncertainty. Therefore, the results reported here indicate the conservatism associated with small gain analysis, and the effectiveness of Popov analysis, in gauging robust stability in the presence of constant, real parametric uncertainty.
Mindfulness is an emerging topic which has gained an immense attention amongst the researchers. Different researches are being conducted to examine the technique to instill mindful eating in people's mundane routine. Methods:A quantitative evidence-based, cross-sectional study was conducted at University of Lahore from September 2021-December 2021 having a sample size of 300 people. 150 males and 150 females aging 17-49 were involved in the survey. Results:The analysis of data revealed a significant outcome among males and females regarding degree of knowledge and mindful practices (r=.244, p<0.05) and. (r=.445, p<0.05) respectively. Significant ratio in emotional responses say anxiety (r=.491, p<0.05), self-control (r=.180, p<0.05), boredom (r=.105, p<0.05). External cues such as peer pressure (r=.246, p<0.05), food palatability (r=.013, p<0.05) and other distractions (r=.914, p<0.05) effected both genders in a significant way, along with the internal cues like satiety (r=.952, p<0.05), overeating (r=.155, p<0.05) and food restrictions (r=.315, p<0.05) that had influence over males and their female counterparts as well. Conclusion:This survey proved to be beneficial in understanding the society’s knowledge about the mindful eating, their dietary habits and how they deal with the different food cues in their life. The findings showed almost an equal response from both genders however more interventions and researches are needed in this particular area as a significant number of people are actually inclining towards the idea of mindful eating and need proper guidance and programs to make it possible for them to inculcate it in their daily lives.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
