This paper presents an application of the planar model approach to the design of reconfigurable dipole antenna. The model of the whole antenna consists of a planar structure connected via a microstrip line which guarantees a continuous excitation. For this we have to use the commercial electromagnetic software ADS (Momentum) based on the method of moments (MoM) to investigate the electromagnetic behaviour of this antenna. The behavior of the resonant frequency as a function of the position and the dimension of a lumped element is studied in depth. Furthermore, the effects of finite metallization thickness and losses are also investigated in detail.
Abstract-In this paper, we present a new electromagnetic modelling analysis based on the Analytical Spatial Method of Moments (ASMoM) using roof-top basis functions and prove advantages of integrals' resolution in conjunction with technique that permit to reduce the number of unknowns in the MoM matrix and to minimize time and memory consumption. This technique takes into account the existence of TEM zones inside the structure and far from discontinuities. There, we represent the current under an exponential form to analyze wave's propagation inside the structure. The advantages of this contribution will be illustrated by numerical results.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
