Shifting from hospital-based care to community-based care involves the family as advanced caregivers to the patients with Schizophrenia at their home. Yet, they have need of knowledge and skill in caring the patients as well as support from health care providers and society. Family caregivers should be well-prepared to take care the patients with Schizophrenia at home since it gets some negative consequences on their physical, psychological, social, and financial. Nurse need to assess the factors that might influence the family caregivers to felling burden, and include the family caregivers into nursing care in which would not only to improve the patients’ mental health but the family caregivers as well.

Introduction: The high prevalence caused by pulmonary TB disease results in an increased risk of transmission to the family. Health education at the Medoan Ayu puskesmas was  carried out in an integrated manner with various programs but the results are less than optimal. Objective: the research objective is to find out the effect of health education with the TB Card media on the prevention of pulmonary TB transmission behavior in families at the Medoan Ayu Puskesmas Surabaya. Method: Pre-experimental one group pre-post test design. The population was  34 and the sample is 30 TB patients with non probability purposive sampling technique. The research variables consisted of independent variables, health education with TB Card media and the dependent variable, behavioral prevention of pulmonary TB transmission. The instrument used was a questionnaire sheet, analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test statistical test. Result: The results of the study before getting the intervention obtained less behavior of 12 respondents (40%), enough behavior of 12 respondents (40%), the results of the study after getting the intervention obtained good prevention behavior 26 (87%) and the results of the statistical test the influence of TB media on prevention practices p = 0,000 <a = 0.05, there is an effect of health education with TB Card Media on the prevention of pulmonary TB transmission behavior in families in the Medoan Ayu Puskesmas area of Surabaya. Discussion: Behavior to prevent TB transmission in the family needs to be increased so as to reduce the morbidity caused by pulmonary TB disease.

Background: Until now, there are still many mothers who give complementary foods to babies before the age of 6 months. This is due to the lack of knowledge of mothers about complementary foods, the benefits and methods of giving complementary foods correctly, and improper complementary feeding habits, as well as the support from families in providing complementary foods. These conditions affect the mother's attitude in giving complementary foods (Sulistijani & Herlianty, 2001). Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of mothers in providing complementary foods to infants aged 0-12 months. Methods: The research design used correlational analytic with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all mothers who had children aged 0-12 months in Balonggabus Village as many as 58 people. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The sample size in this study were 58 respondents. Data collection was obtained through demographic data and questionnaire sheets with a total of 26 questions. Data were analyzed using the Spearmen Rho test with a significance level of p ≤ 0.05. Results:  The results showed that the level of knowledge of mothers in giving complementary foods to infants aged 0-12 months in Balonggabus Village, Candi, Sidoarjo, almost half of them had a low level of knowledge of 28 respondents (48.3%), and attitudes of mothers in giving complementary foods to babies. Most of those aged 0-12 months had negative attitudes as many as 38 respondents (65.5%). The results of statistical tests show that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of mothers in providing complementary foods to babies aged 0-12 months in Balonggabus Village, Candi, Sidoarjo with a significance level of 0.000 (ρ ≤ 0.05). Discussion: Based on the results of the study, it was found that the better the level of knowledge of a mother regarding complementary feeding, the mother has a positive attitude in complementary feeding. Conclusion: The implication of this study shows that the level of knowledge of mothers in providing complementary foods needs to be improved by providing information by health workers and health cadres about complementary feeding, so that the mother's attitude will be positive.

Background: Prevention of pulmonary tuberculosis transmission behavior is also one of the keys to the increased incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis. Unhealthy behavior in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis can be caused due to lack of information about TB in the community so that they lack responsibility for the tuberculosis transmission.Objective: This study aimed to analyze the Prevention Behaviors of Pulmonary Tuberculosis Transmission Questionnaire (PBPTTQ) to see whether this questionnaire can be used to assess habits in preventing pulmonary tuberculosis transmission in the community.Methods: The design used in this study was cross-sectional design. This study was conducted in the Public Health Center of Medokan Ayu, Surabaya. The sample in this study were 30 people with positive smear pulmonary tuberculosis who are in the working area of Public Health Center of Medokan Ayu, Surabaya. This study used Prevention Behaviors of Pulmonary Tuberculosis Transmission Questionnaire (PBPTTQ). PBPTTQ consists of 15 items with 11 items that are positive questions and 4 items that are negative questions. PBPTTQ using Likert Scale with 5-point rating scale. Data analysis of Prevention Behavior of Pulmonary Tuberculosis Transmission Questionnaire used statistical analysis using SPSS 21. Data analysis performed was mean, standard deviation, I-CVI, and Cronbach Alpha.Results: Prevention Behaviors of Pulmonary Tuberculosis Transmission Questionnaire (PBPTTQ) has a high enough reliability value marked by a Cronbach Alpha value of .639. In addition, the validity test of this questionnaire found that I-CVI = .84.Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, Prevention Behaviors of Pulmonary Tuberculosis Transmission Questionnaire (PBPTTQ) can be used to assess pulmonary transmission prevention behavior in the community. Key words: Prevention Behavior, pulmonary tuberculosis transmission, public health center, questionnaire.

Keluarga penderita gangguan jiwa berat yang ada di Indonesia, terutama di Jawa Timur, telah memiliki sikap yang positif dan cukup baik dalam melakukan perawatan kepada anggota keluarganya yang menderita gangguan jiwa berat. Sikap tersebut terbangun dengan proses yang cukup lama sehingga mereka belajar untuk memahami dan mulai memberikan dukungan sosial kepada anggota keluarganya yang menderita gangguan jiwa berat. Selain itu, keluarga-keluarga dengan penderita gangguan jiwa berat ini masih memerlukan pertolongan dari petugas kesehatan guna memberikan informasi-informasi terkait dengan keadaan anggota keluarganya yang menderita gangguan jiwa berat tersebut.

Introduction. Perkembangan motorik diartikan sebagai perkembangan dari unsur kematangan dan pengendalian gerak tubuh dan perkembangan tersebut erat kaitannya dengan perkembangan motorik di otak. Yang sering dijumpai di TK Dharma Wanita Candipari Porong Sidoarjo masih banyak anak yang mengalami keterlambatan motorik halus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengetahuan ibu tentang perkembangan motorik anak usia pra sekolah (4- 6 tahun). Methods. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif dengan populasi adalah seluruh ibu yang mempunyaianakdiTKDharmaWanitaCandipariPorongSidoarjo.Pemilihansampel menggunakantotalsampling dengansampel36responden.Datadikumpulkandenganmenggunakanquesioner dandisajikandalambentuktabel. Results. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pengetahuan ibu tentang perkembangan motorik pada anak usia prasekolah (4-6 tahun) di TK Dharma Wanita Candipari Porong Sidoarjo didapatkan hasil kurang dengan jumlah 27 orang (75%), pengetahuan cukup dengan jumlah 6 orang (16,7%), pengetahuan baik dengan jumlah 3 orang (8,3%). Discussion. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sebagian besar tingkat pengetahuan ibu tentang perkembangan motorik pada anak usia prasekolah (4-6 tahun) pada tingkat pengetahuan kurang. Sehingga peneliti bekerja sama dengan kader kesehatan, guru dan ibu khususnya mengenai perkembangan motorik pada anak usia prasekolah 4-6 tahun di TK Dharma Wanita Candipari Porong Sidoarjo.

Background: Relaxation and distraction are nonpharmacologic techniques in the therapy of anxiety. In circumcision patients, the experience of anxiety is felt by the patients, either children or adolescent. Objective: The study aimed to compare between relaxation and distraction technique in reducing anxiety in circumcision patients. Methods: The study design was a pre-experimental two-group pretest-posttest research design. Total 36 respondents on this study that divided equal to two group (relaxation group and distraction group). The respondents have been assessed their anxiety level before and after the intervention (pre-test and post-test for each group). The instrument of anxiety was Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety (HARS). The statistics test used Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test. Results: The Wilcoxon Signed rank test results for relaxation group was in a Z statistic of -3.317 which results in an exact p value of .001; and the results for distraction group was in a Z statistic of -2.449 which results in an exact p value of .014. Conclusion: There was different result between relaxation and distraction group that showed relaxation group reducing anxiety in higher score of a Z statistic compared with distraction group. However, those technique were effectively in decreasing the anxiety level of circumcision patients.

Background: Mental health issues in adolescence is on the rise influenced by physical and psychosocial growth. They need information and supportive environments to maintain their mental health. However, the mental healthcare needs are not met in some rural areas across country. Objective: Describe the mental health of adolescent in rural area in Desa Batur, Probolinggo. Methods: The design of this study was descriptive research with The Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20) to assess mental health of 30 students in MTS Khoiriyah, Dusun Krajan, Desa Batur, Probolinggo. Results: The prevalence of mental distress was 27% of sample, based on cut-off point. Conclusion: Promotion and prevention of mental health in adolescence would strengthen their ability to manage the stressor on their life.
