Information about Covid-19 circulating in the community has a crucial role in addressing this pandemic. The information about Covid 19 that was shared turned out to being great interest to the public so that it has many followers and verified as a trusted account by Instagram. People voluntarily follow these accounts in order to access Covid 19 information. Thus, people who follow these accounts have the awareness and willingness to be informed. This is certainly interesting in the midst of high public distrust of Covid 19, it turns out that on the other hand the community also voluntarily accesses information about Covid 19. To conduct this researchs we used netnography approach with blended method, involved 200 respondents from online questionnaires and 20 informants of virtual interview, observing informants' online activities and also account activities that spread information about Covid 19. Informations on Instagram account are considered more interesting, easier to check and more updates. 82% of respondents are interested in following information on the number of positive suspects every day. This interest can also be seen from the number of comments on related posts which are always the most. 84% of respondents admitted to spreading the information back to their families, but this information did not appear on the informants' social media accounts. Even though they always follow Covid 19 information, only 10% of respondents said they were afraid of this information.
The convergence of technology has a major impact on human life. The dependence on media forms media ecology. Media ecology becomes a bridge in creating a group self-image. The main study of this research was to analyze the forms of politeness verbal messages on digital media @PandemicTalks. The Instagram account @PandemicTalks presents a new style of sharing information on digital media through graphic and visual content. The research orientation focused on visual verbal messages with the substance of COVID-19 related to the government policies. This qualitative research used both netnographic and descriptive phenomenological method. The results show that the COVID-19 Pandemic formed the characters of technology literate society. The communication lines were more dynamically interactive. Language was as a social and political control in creating the politeness branding image. The politeness strategy used the verbal wisdom markers. The sharing function politeness of visual verbal messages on the @PandemicTalks account was more dominant. The branding image used a persuasive euphemistic language style.
The development of technology changes the ways humans communicate. The presence Instagram brings various solutions and makes communication easier and faster for people throughout the world. In last two years during outbreak of COVID-19, humans dominantly used digital power to perform all life activities. Digital information related to COVID-19 was recorded in virtual community called @Pandemictalk. @Pandemictalk a virtual community focusing on development Covid-19 information in Indonesia. Development of information related to COVID-19 was controlled and monitored by government. The purpose of study to determine ecological impacts media on the people's perceptions in understanding the digital information. Research data were obtained using natnographic method. After identified, data then interpreted using a descriptive contextual method. The results this study reveal that media ecology has a positive correlation with dissemination information related to COVID-19 on @Pandemictalk. Media ecology shapes people's lifestyle increasingly dependent on electronics. This dependence is interpreted as ecological electronic mass. Virtual communication is more effective in processing people's perceptions reflected in the infographics concepts which are easier to perceive. The visual verbal message contents strictly implement the health protocols and information based on local and central government regulations related to community social assistance and religious information.
