[reaction: see text] Diaryl sulfides have been prepared by direct nickel(II)-catalyzed coupling of thiols with iodoaryl bound to SynPhase polystyrene lanterns in the presence of polymer-supported borohydride.
New Synthetic Retinoids Obtained by Palladium-Catalyzed TandemCyclization-Hydride Capture Process.-The first application of intramolecular Heck-type reaction to the preparation of new conformationally restricted retinoids having an asymmetric carbon atom is reported. An example of the use of enantiopure BINAP-Pd catalyst for the asymmetric synthesis of bioactive molecules is also given. -(DIAZ, P.; GENDRE, F.; STELLA, L.; CHARPENTIER, B.; Tetrahedron 54 (1998) 18, 4579-4590; CIRD GAL-DERMA, F-06902 Sophia Antipolis, Fr.; EN)
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
