O artigo teve como objetivo avaliar a relação das práticas de finanças pessoais com a satisfação com o curso dos estudantes de pós-graduação stricto sensu em Ciências Contábeis no Brasil. Os dados de 207 alunos das Universidades cadastradas na plataforma Sucupira em 2020 foram coletados por meio de questionário eletrônico entre os meses de março e maio de 2021. Os resultados mostram que a correlação de Spearman para dados categóricos entre as variáveis de finanças pessoais e satisfação com o curso mostrou-se fraca e não significante. O nível de concordância de satisfação com o curso apresentou média geral de 3,97 (escala 1 a 5). A satisfação dos alunos de pós-graduação não apresentou diferença nas variáveis bolsista, endividamento e planejamento, mas observou-se que os alunos com renda superior apresentaram maiores níveis de satisfação com o curso. O artigo apresenta contribuições teóricas, sociais e práticas. A contribuição teórica baseia-se na importância de expandir a abordagem do tema educação financeira, bem como da utilização de práticas de planejamento e orçamento financeiro pessoal. Com relação à contribuição social e prática, o estudo poderá auxiliar os estudantes com um melhor entendimento referente à gestão financeira pessoal, a adoção de novas práticas de planejamento e controle de suas finanças.
