O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o desenvolvimento de mudas de Aspidosperma parvifolium em diferentes recipientes e substratos em viveiro. Os tratamentos testados foram os seguintes: T1 = Saco de polietileno com 60% de composto orgânico de poda e 40% de vermiculita; T2 = Tubete T280 com 60% de composto orgânico de poda e 40% de vermiculita, T3 = Tubete T110 com 60% de composto orgânico de poda e 40% de vermiculita e T4 = Tubete T110 com 60% de composto orgânico de poda e 40% de bagana de carnaúba. Aos 120 dias após o transplantio, foram determinadas as características morfológicas de todas as plantas, sendo analisadas as seguintes variáveis: altura da parte aérea (H), diâmetro do coleto (DC) e número de folhas (NF). Mudas de Aspidosperma parvifolium conseguem atingir melhor desenvolvimento quando utilizados recipiente do tipo tubete com capacidade de 280 cm³. O substrato composto por bagana de carnaúba apresenta-se mais favorável à produção de mudas da espécie, sendo, portanto recomendado o seu uso em viveiro.
