RESUMO O poetry slam é um gênero artístico-literário que surgiu em 1986, nos Estados Unidos, e que tem conquistado inúmeros adeptos no Brasil, tendo chegado ao país em 2008. A partir de 2015, o Slam da Guilhermina, segundo coletivo brasileiro a ser criado, passa a organizar o Slam Interescolar S P, campeonato de poesia falada que já reuniu centenas de escolas públicas da cidade de São Paulo ao longo destes anos, contando com a participação de estudantes do Ensino Fundamental e Médio. Assistindo a algumas dessas competições, é possível observar sua capacidade de mobilização da comunidade escolar, que se reúne em torno de um expressivo número de alunos que se dispõem a produzir e compartilhar suas poesias, por meio das quais problematizam temas diversos, o que torna o slam um forte aliado no processo de formação cidadã desses sujeitos. Com base nesses dados, este trabalho apresenta uma proposta de inserção, nas aulas de Língua Espanhola, do poetry slam realizado em países hispanofalantes, reproduzindo a experiência do Slam Interescolar S P, com o objetivo de desenvolver um letramento literário crítico (COSSON, 2009; STREET, 2014; DUBOC, 2014; MARINS-COSTA, 2016) e um ensino ancorado nas perspectivas intercultural (PARAQUETT, 2011, 2012; MATOS, 2018) e decolonial (QUIJANO, 2000; GROSFOGUEL, 2008; MATOS; SILVA JÚNIOR, 2019), incentivando um maior engajamento discente nas práticas de leitura. Como se trata ainda de uma proposta, espera-se que ela seja adaptável a diversas instituições de ensino que ofereçam essa disciplina, respeitando-se suas respectivas peculiaridades.
Este artigo está inserido no campo dos estudos da poesia falada, mais especificamente das competições do poetry slam, tomando como caso o Slam Coalkan, primeiro evento indígena mundial nesse formato, realizado em 2021 através de uma parceria entre festivais do Brasil e do Canadá, que reuniu poetas dos hemisférios sul e norte de Abya Yala. A partir de uma observação crítica, este estudo descreve e analisa o referido campeonato, enfatizando a importância da oralidade para as culturas dos povos originários, sendo a protagonista em um contexto como o dos poetry slams. Ancorado em referenciais teóricos sobre literatura indígena, o trabalho pretende ressaltar a necessidade de uma escuta atenta às vozes desses sujeitos historicamente silenciados e marginalizados, que deixam em destaque saberes ancestrais em suas narrativas de luta, emancipação e resistência. Ademais, ao divulgar esse acontecimento inédito, objetiva valorizar e defender a legitimidade da poesia que se produz e circula nos slams.
Este trabalho apresenta algumas das interferências da pandemia de Covid-19 nas competições de poesia performática do poetry slam, com o objetivo de refletir sobre as consequências na elaboração e execução deste evento artístico-cultural de forma virtual. Apesar de ser uma atividade que tem a presença física como fundamental para o estreitamento dos laços entre poetas e público, a poesia persistiu e as batalhas de slam foram adaptadas ao “novo normal” para continuarem acontecendo. Para apontar quais mudanças mais se destacam nessa passagem de um formato ao outro, analisaram-se três disputas de poetry slam realizadas desde o início da pandemia. As contribuições teóricas de Paul Zumthor (1997, 2014), Zygmunt Bauman (2005), Ruth Finnegan (2005, 2016), Martina Pfeiler (2003), Giorgio Agamben (2020), Boaventura de Sousa Santos (2020), entre outros, fundamentaram tais discussões.
O poetry slam se caracteriza no Brasil como um movimento artístico-literário protagonizado por sujeitos periféricos que deixam em evidência as múltiplas formas de discriminação contra determinados grupos sociais. A partir desse tema, o propósito deste artigo é discutir a deslegitimação da literariedade da poesia-slam, uma produção que, por sua forma, pode ser definida como literatura oral performada. Tal questionamento de seu valor estético possivelmente se deve ao fato de que se trata de uma poesia não-canônica e que prioriza a oralidade, que sói ser menosprezada em uma sociedade grafocêntrica. Para este trabalho, toma-se como base a análise de poemas e respectivas performances de duas poetas-slammers brasileiras. O que se pode observar é que elas propõem um olhar decolonial para suas histórias ao ressignificá-las em suas contranarrativas, buscando o empoderamento e a emancipação pela poética oral. O objetivo deste artigo é relatar uma experiência de produção textual em língua espanhola, que culminou na elaboração e publicação de um livro cartonero, cuja capa é feita de cartón, “papelão” em espanhol. A partir dos debates sobre meio ambiente e temáticas afins, tendo como subsídio diferentes gêneros discursivos analisados em cada aula, propôs-se que os estudantes produzissem um texto abordando um desses temas. Resultado das atividades desenvolvidas ao longo de um semestre na disciplina de Língua Espanhola com a turma do quarto ano do Ensino Médio do CEFET/RJ, campus Petrópolis, o livro auxilia na formação cidadã desses alunos e faz dialogar teoria e prática, por ser não apenas uma discussão sobre conscientização, mas também uma ação coletiva de reciclagem. A obra atende às expectativas de um curso de língua estrangeira preocupado com a transdisciplinaridade, enfatizando temáticas transversais e interagindo com o mundo para além da instituição de ensino.
