ABSTRACTThis study aims to estimate the average of existing teeth number in adults (men and women older than 14 years of age), who attended the dispensaries of Integrated Clinic Discipline in the School of Dentistry of Ponta Grossa State University (UEPG). A cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of 200 patients who completed a socio-economic questionnaire in order to obtain the education level, sex, per capita income and age. Associations between the teeth presence and socio-economic variations were assessed by the arithmetic mean. Significant results were found in the number of teeth, with the worst indicators related to low income, low education, as well as to the highest age group, showing that these are the groups that need greater attention related to preventive, assistance, intercepting, rehabilitating, restoring and social measures.
