In einer randomisierten Vergleichsstudie wird die Rückwirkung einer periphervenös applizierbaren Kombinationslösung (PE 900) mit Aminosäuren (25 g•l-1) und Kohlenhydraten (50 g•l-1) hinsichtlich der Stickstoffversorgung im postoperativen Stoffwechsel untersucht. Die Lösung ist aufgrund der niedrigen Osmolalität von ungefähr 600 mosm · kg-1 auch über längere Zeit komplikationslos periphervenös anwendbar. Dabei ergibt sich gegenüber der mit einer Elektrolytlösung (Tutofusin OPS) behandelten Vergleichsgruppe eine Stickstoffretention von 68 % der applizierten Menge. Die Auswirkung der periphervenösen Infusionsbehandlung auf Meβgröβen des Protein-und Aminosäurenstatus wurden untersucht und werden detailliert diskutiert.
