The paper describes the complete digital simulation of a four-stands continuous cold strip mill with its sheet supply and coiler. The whole program contains 150 integrators and twenty circular tables for variable delays. All models are non-linear and the programmation is implemented in ACSL language. It includes a part which allows to bring up to date all the parameters of the process simulation and of the regulators coefficients. The simulation acts as the real process and is a powerful means for improving the control of the tension and thickness.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
