Das Bronchuskarzinom hat in den letzten fünf Jahren eine deutliche Zunahme zu verzeichnen. Die Prognose hängt wesentlich von der Früherkennung ab, da nur die Frühstadien mit Erfolg einer Differentialtherapie zugeführt werden können. Mit den nicht invasiven diagno-stischen Methoden kann die Diagnose häufig nicht exakt gestellt werden, auch kann häufig nicht über die Dignität eines Tumors präoperativ entschieden werden. Mit dem Elektrophorese-Mobilitàts-Test kann in 83 % beim Bronchuskarzinom und in 90 % bei malignen Erkrankungen eine zusätzliche Aussage darüber gemacht werden, ob es sich bei einem pulmonalen Tumor um einen malignen oder nicht -malignen Prozeß handelt. Der EMT stellt eine In-vitro-Methode zum Nachweis spezifisch sensibilisierter Lymphozyten dar. Nach Inku-bation mit dem enzephalitogenen Faktor (EF) setzen die Lymphozyten von Malignompatienten einen Faktor frei, der zu einer Minderung der Wanderungsgeschwindigkeit von Indikatorpartikeln (tannierte und Sulfosalizylsäure-stabilisierte Schafserythrozyten – ETS) im elek-trischen Feld fiihrt. 96 Patienten mit pulmonalen Erkrankungen wurden untersucht. Dabei fand sich eine signifikante Hemmung der ETS-Mobilität im elek-trischen Feld nur bei malignen pulmonalen Erkrankungen und bei vier von zwölf Patienten mit Sarkoidose. Die statistische Auswertung ergab einen signifikanten Unterschied (p > 0,001) zwischen nicht-malignen und malignen Erkrankungen im EMT. Falsch-negative Ergebnisse erhält man unter Strahlen- und Chemotherapie. Im Zusammenspiel mit anderen diagnostischen Verfahren kann der EMT eine wertvolle diagnostische Hilfe darstellen, mit der die Krebs-früherkennung verbessert und somit die Heilungschancen der Patienten wesentlich gesteigert werden können.
