RESUMO -Com o intuito de realizar a hidrólise do óleo de crambe, buscou-se encontrar as condições ótimas de reação, empregando a enzima extraída da mamona (Ricinus communis L.), a fim de obter ácidos graxos livres para futura produção de biodiesel. As reações de hidrólise foram conduzidas em um Erlenmeyer com um agitador magnético, contando com 1000 rpm, aproximadamente. Foram realizados testes de pH, temperatura e de quantidade de solução, onde encontraram-se as maiores conversões no valor de 4 para o pH, em 35 ºC e usando 6 mL de solução tampão na reação. No teste cinético, a porcentagem máxima de acidez do óleo de crambe foi de 68,15%, valor que se manteve aproximadamente o mesmo a partir de 2,5 horas de reação, significando que em poucas horas de reações, com condições amenas de temperatura e com a utilização de uma enzima de baixo custo, foi possível atingir um valor aceitável e satisfatório de conversão. INTRODUÇÃOBiocombustíveis tem gerado um grande entusiasmo em setores associados ao desenvolvimento científico e tecnológico da sociedade atual (Rocha et al., 2013). O biodiesel é visto como um dos mais interessantes combustíveis renováveis, pois age como substituição parcial ou total do diesel derivado do petróleo, sendo biodegradável e ainda seguro para o meio ambiente. Este combustível pode ser produzido por diversos métodos e matérias primas, tais como os óleos vegetais e gorduras animais (Monisha et al., 2013). Dos óleos vegetais usados para a produção do biodiesel, o Brasil oferece em abundância a soja, milho, amendoim, algodão, entre outros. Dentre estes, a soja é a mais utilizada, pois oferece uma grande quantidade de óleo extraído devido a sua produção no país, chegando a quase 90% em relação à outras leguminosas (Ferrari et al., 2005).Por mais que a produção da soja brasileira seja alta, do ponto de vista econômico, esta e algumas outras matérias primas podem tornar o biodiesel mais caro, pois competem com a indústria alimentícia (Monisha et al., 2013). Desta forma, busca-se identificar e viabilizar matérias primas alternativas que evitem este problema, podendo citar como exemplos as microalgas, óleos de fritura usados, óleos não comestíveis, como exemplo o óleo de crambe (Rocha et al., 2013). O óleo de crambe possui somente fins industriais, pois contêm 60% de ácido erúcico em sua composição, inviabilizando o consumo humano, tornando-se uma grande vantagem, pois não há questionamentos sobre a sua utilização como matéria prima para os biocombustíveis (Pitol et al., 2007).
RESUMO -Extratos vegetais são amplamente utilizados nas indústrias alimentícia, de cosméticos e medicamentos. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar parâmetros envolvidos na obtenção de extratos de uvaia por extração assistida por Ultrassom. Os experimentos foram realizados em sonicador ultrassônico Ultronique DESRUPTOR com potência de 500 W. A avaliação do processo foi realizada a partir da obtenção da cinética experimental e posteriormente um planejamento fatorial 2 2 com ponto central, sendo avaliadas as variáveis: potência e razão massa de amostra/volume de solvente. Observou-se que a extração tornouse constante após 20 minutos, e que o melhor resultado de rendimento de extrato seco (5,77%) foi obtido nas condições de 350 W de potência e razão amostra/solvente de 1/20. As variáveis estudadas foram estatisticamente significativas no processo.
