The purpose of this study is to design information systems that can recommend the selection of final project (thesis) topics based on the competencies possessed by students. The analytical model integrated into this system is the Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART), with student competency data taken based on the grade score of the subjects relevant to the selection of the final project theme clusters. The design of the information system in this study uses a prototype model, with the main stages consisting of needs analysis, design, testing, and evaluation. The system designed successfully runs well and can provide recommendations on the selection of thesis topics. This recommendation provided an overview of the strength of competencies that are superior to students what have relevance to the cluster of the thesis main topics.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
