Este trabajo tiene como objetivo describir las características psicométricas del cuestionario «Características Psicológicas relacionadas con el RendimientoDeportivo» (CPRD). La estructura factorial de este instrumento está definida por cinco escalas que aglutina nun total de 55 items: control del estrés, influencia de la evaluación del rendimiento, motivación, habilidad mental y cohesión de equipo.El proceso seguido para la elaboración del cuestionario CPRD y la consistencia interna de conjunto total de items (coeficiente alfa de Cronbach = 0,85) permiten considerar este instrumento útil, interactuando con la información procedente de otros procedimientos de evaluación, para ayudar al psicólogo deportivo en la detección de necesidades y recursos, el planteamiento de hipótesis explicativas, la realización de análisis funcionales, la toma de decisión sobre los objetivos de la intervención y la observación del progreso de los deportistas.

Objective: To assess patient satisfaction and functional results at long term follow-up after surgical correction for Peyronie's disease (PD) and congenital penile curvature (CPC) with the technique of tunical plication. Materials and Methods: One hundred and two men operated for PD (n = 76) or CPC (n = 26) in four different departments of urology in public hospitals agreed to answer a six-question telephone questionnaire about treatment satisfaction. Tunica albuginea plication procedures represented the standard surgical approach. Subjects under investigation were correction of the deformity, feeling of bumps under the skin, pain during erection, penile sensory changes, development of erectile dysfunction (ED) and postoperative ability for complete vaginal intromission. Subjective response rates were compared using the chi square test on the basis of the etiology of the disease (CPC or PD). Results: Significant differences (p < 0.05) between patients with CPC and PD were noticed in the prevalence of postoperative penile deformity, sensory changes, ED and ability to complete vaginal intromission, PD patients always showing a more pessimistic view. No significant differences (p = ns) were detected in terms of unpleasant nodes under the penile skin or pain during erection. Conclusions: Long-term outcome after surgical correction for PD and CPC with the technique of tunical plication can be poor. Probably patient expectations are above the real performance of surgical techniques. Preoperative information should be more exhaustive.

Lasers are adequate tools in the processing and characterization of materials. The Applied Superconductivity group at the Aragón Materials Science Institute has been applying different laser techniques in the processing, machining and characterization of bulk high temperature superconductors for high power applications. Textured bulk Bi-2212 superconductors have been obtained using laser melting zone techniques. We have produced thin bars, monoliths and coatings on metallic and ceramic substrates. Ablation techniques have been used to machine the samples with the required shape for technological applications. And finally, optical techniques have been used as non-destructive experiments to detect the location of hot-spots and the positions where environmental degradation starts.

Bi 2 Sr 2 CaCu 2 O x (Bi-2212) thick films were prepared on (100) MgO substrates by combining both the tape cast and laser zone melting techniques. The final thickness of the textured samples is of the order of 350-400 µm. The effect of translation rates on the microstructure and, consequently, on the critical current densities (J c ) of the films has been analysed. J c values measured in zero magnetic field were 1200 A cm −2 (I c = 42 A) at 77 K for samples grown at 15 mm h −1 , using a total laser power of 12 W and a power density of 2 W mm −2 . These are similar to the best results obtained in Bi-2212 thick films processed with other methods.
