RESUMO-A evaporação de percolado foi avaliada como tratamento primário visando à ampliação da capacidade da ETE do aterro. Foi utilizado percolado de aterro classe I e II, para simular as condições de entrada da ETE. A eficiência da evaporação foi obtida pela caracterização do percolado antes e após o tratamento pela CONAMA 430/2011. O percolado tratado apresentou 90% de redução da DQO, porém ocorreu aumento do pH, provavelmente devido ao nitrogênio amoniacal residual. A remoção deste por dessorção foi avaliada e os resultados foram satisfatórios. A substituição de algumas etapas da ETE pela evaporação e dessorção indicou que a capacidade de biodegradabilidade aumentou. O concentrado gerado apresentou PCS de 1900 cal.g-1 e nenhuma restrição quanto aos contaminantes (CEMA 76/2009), possibilitando o coprocessamento do resíduo em fornos de cimento.
