There is great need for respiratory care programs in medical institutions for the elderly, for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Such a program in St. Joseph's Manor, Trumbull, Connecticut is described and some statistics are given for the first eleven months of operation. Detection of tuberculosis was much improved. The benefits were outstanding in the management of intercurrent respiratory difficulties.
