Introdução: Atualmente existem muitos microrganismos resistentes a diferentes classes de antimicrobianos e são considerados como importante causadores de infecções hospitalares pela fácil transmissibilidade de uma pessoa à outra por meio do contato das mãos e de materiais contaminados. Objetivo: Descrever perfil de cepas resistentes e os possíveis fatores predisponentes para o aparecimento destas em pacientes imunossuprimidos internados em enfermarias de um hospital de referência em infectologia. Metodologia: Estudo do tipo retrospectivo, descritivo com uma abordagem quantitativa. Resultados: O perfil microbiológico de resistência observado nas culturas de pacientes internados nas enfermarias de um hospital referência em infectologia mostrou que, 58% das infecções eram causadas por Escherichia coli seguidos por 22,5% Klebsiella pneumoniae e 19,5% Pseudômonas aeruginosa. Em relação ao perfil de resistência, 12,5% eram resistentes aos carbapenêmicos de espectro estendido, 12,5% as cefalosporinas de 4° geração e 12,5% as cefalosporinas de 3° geração. Também foram analisadas informações existentes em 98 planilhas com registros de auditorias internas, destas, 57% continham erros cometidos por servidores e estas não-conformidades poderiam estar intimamente ligadas a contaminação intra-hospitalares, o restante (43%) eram relacionadas ao ambiente. Conclusão: O estudo mostra que para auxiliar na prevenção da quebra de cadeia de transmissão de bactérias multirresistentes se faz necessário a instauração de protocolos de cultura de vigilância que se resume na coleta de amostras de pacientes internados ou que necessitam de internação, principalmente em unidades onde albergam pacientes imunossuprimidos.
Introdução: As Infecções Relacionadas à Assistência à Saúde (IRAS) consistem em eventos adversos ainda persistentes nos serviços de saúde. Sabe-se que a infecção leva a uma considerável elevação dos custos no cuidado do paciente, além de aumentar o tempo de internação, a morbidade e a mortalidade nos serviços de saúde do país. Objetivo: Registrar o perfil de crescimento de cepas multirresistentes em pacientes imunossuprimidos internados em UTI´S de um hospital referência em Doenças Tropicais em um período de cinco anos. Metodologia: O presente estudo foi do tipo retrospectivo, descritivo e quantitativo. Resultados: No período de janeiro de 2016 a dezembro de 2021 foi registrado 245 IRAS, destas, 73,3% foram infecções nosocomiais do trato respiratório-PAVM, 16,9% foram do trato urinário e 9,8% da corrente sanguínea. Quanto ao perfil de resistência, os microrganismos que se apresentou com maior poder de resistência antimicrobiana nos últimos 5 anos foi A Klebsiella pneumonieae e a Pseudomonas aeruginposa e a E. coli. Conclusão: para prevenir a infecção hospitalar, as principais recomendações envolvem hábitos e cuidados dos pacientes e dos profissionais de saúde, além da adesão aos protocolos internos dos serviços de saúde.
