A temperatura do ar pode ser estimada através de fatores geográficos e, por conseguinte, espacializada, utilizando-se técnicas de Modelagem Matemática e Sistemas de Informações Geográficas (SIG). O objetivo deste trabalho foi realizar a estimativa e espacialização da temperatura em suas diversas modalidades (média, média da mínima e média da máxima) do mês mais frio (julho) e do mês mais quente (janeiro) para o Estado do Rio Grande do Sul a partir da latitude, longitude e altitude. A estimativa foi realizada, adotando-se dados de 39 estações meteorológicas, das quais foram geradas equações de regressão múltipla espacial para cada modalidade de temperatura. Os resultados foram aplicados sobre a imagem digital de altitude, latitude e longitude. As análises apontaram que as variáveis preditoras (altitude, latitude e longitude) estão correlacionadas com a temperatura e a validação foi permitida para todos os modelos de regressão múltipla utilizados. No Rio Grande do Sul, os fatores altitude e longitude são os mais importantes para a estimativa da temperatura do ar em todas as suas modalidades.
Frontal dunes are beach natural defenses against the rise of coastal waters and waves during storm surges, promoting a sand storage for beach restoration when erosion problems occurs. The management of coastal areas must include the protection of the existing dunes and the reclaiming of the disturbed ones. The employment of a simple device method in the stabilization of frontal dunes were tested in a pilot area (1 km long of beach line) in Osório county (RS, Brazil).
