El siguiente texto ofrece una reflexión en torno al ejercicio de las “prácticas curatoriales” aplicadas al territorio del arte y al espacio expositivo, con la intención de caracterizar los derroteros que éstas tienen distinguiendo dos modos del saber hacer curatorial. El primero, vinculado a una práctica hegemónica, avalada y sostenida por el discurso oficial del campo curatorial institucionalizado, y, el segundo, el de una práctica disidente, establecida por su oposición a la narrativa canónica y enunciada desde los márgenes. Esta clasificación teórica es una propuesta del historiador del arte y curador Marcelo Pacheco; y en este trabajo se añade a esa coyuntura la problemática de pensar las prácticas curatoriales desde un emplazamiento específico -el espacio geopolítico sur- con el objetivo de explorar las potencialidades de una práctica curatorial que trascienda lo local.
Los emplazamientos culturales, como museos, bienales y centros culturales, se han convertido en la plataforma para sentar las claves operativas y de gestión de algunas políticas culturales. El espacio de la virtualidad es el escenario para la re-territorialización del arte en función de las nuevas luchas identitarias, abierto a la democratización de ideas donde fluctúan sujetos (artistas, curadores y públicos) obras e ideas. Este trabajo se plantea en tres partes: una primera, donde se expone la categoría de emplazamiento cultural haciendo una descripción de sus posibilidades enunciativas en función de la espacialidad; una segunda en la que se describe el estudio de caso: la exposición virtual “Forensic Architecture”-en el Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo de la UNAM- como una exposición situada en una plataforma museal distinta; y una tercera parte en la que se realizan algunos apuntes de cierre, vinculando y analizando cómo funcionan estos territorios museales como plataformas expandidas y deslocalizadas.
La etnografía ha dado cuenta de la forma en que las sociedades comprenden, significan y construyen su relación con el agua. En dichos relatos el agua aparece como un sujeto con voluntad, agencia y performatividad inseparable a toda la vida en el planeta. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo visualizar, desde registros etnográficos de pensamientos indígenas y de experiencias artísticas y transdisciplinarias, la vinculación genealógica con el agua para desde ahí posicionar la categoría de hidroparentescos como una práctica desantrópica y emancipadora que puede desarticular los modos utilitarios, extractivistas y antropotécnicos que caracterizan a la crisis ambiental de la sociedad urbanícola contemporánea.
