Este trabajo indaga sobre aquellos atributos compartidos por las diferentes comunidades del primer milenio de la Era Cristiana que podrían ser considerados como “signos de época”. Se propone que, si bien esta exploración es válida, al mismo tiempo supone problemas de escalas, por lo que deben explicitarse los contextos de análisis. En este sentido se plantea que, para el período en cuestión, en una región de 350 km2 que abarca el norte del Sistema del Aconquija y sur de Valles Calchaquíes, el diseño arquitectónico denominado patrón Tafí podría ser considerado un signo de época. Esta manera de construir viviendas fue compartida por varias aldeas, lo que estaría reflejando, junto con otros indicios, una identidad que en algún punto fue colectiva y trascendió los propios límites comunitarios. A partir del estudio en la Quebrada de Los Corrales del particular arreglo espacial de este tipo de viviendas y su relación con los espacios de producción agro-pastoril, se plantea a nivel local la existencia de vínculos de cooperación entre las unidades domésticas de la aldea de Puesto Viejo, por lo que habrían convivido, en simultáneo, niveles de reproducción social familiar, supra-familiar e intercomunitario.
Cueva de Los Corrales 1 se ubica en la quebrada de Los Corrales (El Infiernillo, Tucumán). Es un sitio arqueológico complejo tanto en su espacialidad como en su temporalidad ya que presenta tres sectores de uso ‒dos en el interior (cueva propiamente dicha y morteros fijos) y uno en el exterior (alero)‒ en varios momentos de ocupación entre ca. 3000 y 600 años AP. Se presenta una síntesis de la información generada que incluye el examen de distintas materialidades, dataciones radiocarbónicas y análisis desde diferentes líneas de investigación, los cuales, en conjunto, han permitido establecer al menos cuatro eventos ocupacionales. Se evalúan los posibles usos que tuvo CC1 en los distintos momentos en que estuvo habitado y su rol en el devenir de las ocupaciones humanas de la quebrada de Los Corrales y de la región del sur de cumbres Calchaquíes-norte del sistema del Aconquija en tiempos prehispánicos.
La Quebrada de Los Corrales (El Infi ernillo, Tucumán) es un yacimiento arqueológico cuyo lapso de ocupación más intenso se dio entre ca. 2100 y 1560 años AP. Aquí, las áreas agrícolas-pastoriles están separadas de las residenciales, situación que contrasta con otros sitios de la región del mismo período. En este sentido, el objetivo de este trabajo es comprender las condiciones que habr ían generado la particular estructuración del espacio y las implicancias que tuvo esto a través del análisis de mapas realizados mediante SIG.
En este artículo se presentan algunas consideraciones en torno a las prácticas de pastoreo llevadas a cabo en la Quebrada de Los Corrales (El Infiernillo, Tucumán) durante parte del siglo XX. La información que se da a conocer, deriva de una serie de entrevistas realizadas al último ocupante de un puesto actualmente abandonado que descansa sobre una localidad arqueológica donde paralelamente se está comenzando una investigación que aborda el tema de los pastores prehispánicos. El testimonio de primera mano ofrecido por Don Sabino fue de gran relevancia por los datos aportados y porque estableció un punto de partida para reflexionar sobre las prácticas en el pasado.
