This paper presents the results of a research developed by the Directory of Environmental Sustainability, of the Federal University of Uberlândia, in Uberlândia, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The research was based on questionnaires filled in by outsourced employees that worked on campuses of the university and were hired by the University Hall. Outsourced employees were chosen for the research because they do not have institutionalized places of non-formal education where they can take environmental education training courses to improve their services. The research revealed that, besides the demand/need for training, the worker's social and economic characteristics, which promoted an analysis of the stratified environmental perception of the studied audience.
