O objetivo do presente artigo é descrever a experiência de acadêmicos de enfermagem na operacionalização de uma campanha de imunização proposta pela Secretaria de Saúde de um município do interior da região norte do estado do Ceará, em conjunto com a Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS). Estudo descritivo de abordagem qualitativa do tipo relato de experiência que ocorreu durante o período de setembro a novembro de 2020 em uma campanha de imunização focada no monitoramento e reposição da situação vacinal de crianças do município. A vivência se deu com a participação de 58 acadêmicos de enfermagem em atuação dentro de 26 Centros de Saúde da Família (CSF) através da monitorização, entrevista e vacinação do público-alvo, crianças na faixa etária entre 2 meses e 4 anos e 11 meses e 29 dias que eram cadastradas na CSF onde o trabalho foi realizado e faziam parte do território mapeado. Com a experiência dos acadêmicos foi notório que a pandemia da COVID-19 afetou a situação vacinal das crianças do município por intermédio do isolamento social, mas outros aspectos que interferem na atualização das vacinas, também, são válidos ressaltar, tais como, a inclusão digital dos profissionais de saúde, uso dos sistemas de alimentação de dados sobre imunização, fake news sobre vacinas, dentre outros.
