El síndrome de ovarios poliquísticos, es el síndrome más común de los desórdenes endocrinos en mujeres en edad reproductiva afecta aproximadamente a un 6 -10% de edad reproductiva mujeres. Es una enfermedad de etiología multifactorial, comórbida en muchos casos con la obesidad, diabetes, depresión, etc. Se manifiesta clínicamente con hirsutismo, resistencia a la insulina o irregularidad menstrual/ subfertilidad. Para su diagnóstico es necesario excluir otras patologías que causen trastornos del ciclo menstrual, exceso de andrógenos, y cumplir al menor dos de los siguientes criterios: oligo/anovulación, hiperandrogenismo clínico y/o bioquímico, ovarios poliquisticos por ecografía. El tratamiento debe de ser integral e individualizada.
El embarazo de riesgo se define como el embarazo en el que se detectan una o más factores que podrían causar un riesgo para la gestación actual, pudiendo afectar negativamente los resultados materno fetales. Algunos factores de riesgos atención son: edad materna, estilo de vida poco saludables, enfermedades co-esxistentes, etc. Es de suma importancia los controles periódicos y tempranos ya que al identificar un embarazo temprano se puede abordar con mejor calidad cualquier factor de riesgo que presente.
El cancer cervicouterino es la tercera causa de muerte a nivel mundial, el factor de riesgo mas conocido es el Virus del papiloma humano (VPH) pero no es una causa suficiente para el desarrollo del cancer cervicouterino, la citología como prueba de tamizaje, ha demostrado ser una herramienta importante para el diagnóstico precoz y tratamiento efectivo, según estudios se recomienda que el tamizaje se debe realizar a partir de los 21 años, independientemente de la edad de inicio de relaciones sexuales, si la paciente tiene una citología normal se recomienda el tamizaje cada 3 años, de lo contrario el seguimiento dependerá del resultado de la citología y pruebas complementarias
Los quistes de la glándula de Bartholino son problemas comunes en mujeres en edad reproductiva. Los abscesos son tres veces más comunes que los quistes. Estos quistes alcanzan diámetros de 1 a 4 cm, y suelen ser asintomáticos. Los tumores que se originan en las glándula de Bartholino son muy raros . Los quistes de los conductos y la inflamación son las lesiones más comunes en estas glándulas.
