This paper deals with approximating properties and convergence results of the complex q-Balázs-Szabados operators attached to analytic functions on compact disks. The order of convergence and the Voronovskaja-type theorem with quantitative estimate of these operators and the exact degree of their approximation are given. Our study extends the approximation properties of the complex q-Balázs-Szabados operators from real intervals to compact disks in the complex plane with quantitative estimate. MSC: 30E10; 41A25

Importance: A viable occupational therapy program based on joint attention is needed to ensure that children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) lead lives in which they interact socially. Objective: To explore the benefit of a joint attention–based occupational therapy program offered simultaneously with the usual special education program (USEP) compared with USEP alone. Design: Randomized controlled study, including pre-, post-, and follow-up testing. Setting: Special education and rehabilitation center. Participants: Twenty children with ASD in the study group, M = 4.80 yr (SD = 0.78 yr), and the control group, M = 5.10 yr (SD = 0.73 yr), were included. Intervention: All children received USEP (2 sessions/wk for 12 wk). Joint attention–based occupational therapy was applied to the study group in addition to USEP (3 sessions/wk for 12 wk). Outcomes and Measures: The Social Communication Questionnaire (SCQ), Autism Behavior Checklist (ABC), and Motor-Free Visual Perception Test–4 (MVPT–4) were implemented. Results: The study group had a statistically and clinically significant improvement in SCQ, ABC, and MVPT–4 scores after the intervention (p < .001). The control group did not show statistically significant improvement in measurements (p > .05). The mean values of SCQ–Total, ABC–Total, and MVPT–4 variables measured at 3-mo follow-up were significantly different than preintervention (p < .05). Conclusions and Relevance: Joint attention–based intervention, including a child-centered approach, can improve social communication, reduce ASD-related behaviors, and improve visual perception. What This Article Adds: This study emphasizes the importance of occupational therapy with a holistic perspective, based on joint attention, in terms of increasing the effectiveness of special education programs attended by children with ASD and reinforcing visual perception, communication, and positive behaviors in children with ASD.

In this paper, we introduce a new kind of q-Balázs-Szabados-Kantorovich operators called q-BSK operators. We give a weighted statistical approximation theorem and the rate of convergence of the q-BSK operators. Also, we investigate the local approximation results. Further, we give some comparisons associated with the convergence of q-BSK operators.

Araştırma sonuçlarına göre öğrencilerin tamamı Kur'ân-ı Kerîm'in anlamının öğretilmesi gerektiğini düşünürken büyük çoğunluğu anlamını tam manasıyla henüz okumamıştır. Ders saatlerinin yetersizliği sebebiyle derslerde işlenmesinin de gerçekleşmediği tespit edilmiştir. Buna göre Kur'ân-ı Kerîm'in anlamının öğretileceği müstakil bir ders konulması ve ders dışı etkinliklerin, yarışmaların düzenlenmesinin Kur'an-ı Kerim'in anlamının öğretilmesine katkı sağlayacağı anlaşılmaktadır.

Rheumatoid arthritis is a progressive, chronic, and degenerative disease that adversely affects the quality of life of individuals. Depending on the individual's symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, basic and instrumental daily life activities are restricted, and participation of life is adversely affected. Occupational therapy interventions for rheumatoid arthritis rehabilitation include self-management programs (e.g., arthritis self-management program, bone up on arthritis, self-management arthritis treatment physical activity), splinting techniques for rheumatoid arthritis, and vocational rehabilitation. In this chapter, updated information about these approaches is brought together and presented to the reader.This chapter focuses on the rheumatoid arthritis and influences person's life. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) prevalence ranges from 0.3 to 1% of the adult population, and female-to-male prevalence ratio was 4:1 [10,13,14]. It is related to low-and middle-income countries [10,15,16].Rheumatoid arthritis affects people's life balance and their ability to perform work, leisure, self-care, and rest and sleep decreased [17][18][19]. In addition, they lose values of activity for their life so feel anxious and depressed and influence their health related quality of life [20][21][22].Occupational therapist works with not only pain or symptoms management in rheumatoid arthritis but also the prevention of functional limitations and adaptation to lifestyle changes improve emotional state and social participation to maintain independence in daily living activities [11,19,23]. Occupational therapy (OT) interventions especially focus on improving occupational performance which is negatively affected by rheumatoid arthritis. For this reason, occupational therapists use some approaches for improving occupational performance such as using behavioral change approach, energy conservation approach, relax renovation and pain control, fatigue management, maintain ındependence, adaptive device, and home adaptations in rheumatoid arthritis [9,24].

In this study, we investigate some inequalities estimating the error of approximation for new defined tensor product kind quantum beta-type operators on rectangular regions, and we give an inequality in weighted mean. Moreover, we introduce generalized Boolean sum (GBS) operators pertaining to tensor product kind bivariate quantum beta-type operators, and we also give inequalities estimating the error of approximation for GBS variant concerning the mixed modulus of continuity for Bögel continuous and Bögel differentiable functions, respectively. Finally, we present some applications illustrating numerical results of approximation errors with the help of Maple software.
