O presente estudo busca comparar e discutir a ressignificação poética entre o teatro e a religião através de quatro espetáculos “afropoéticos”, que julgamos ser os principais na cena paraense, quando o quesito é seguir um conceito “estético-religioso”, ou seja, quando o artista cênico convoca a religião como matéria prima seja na performance, no figurino, cenografia ou na própria dramaturgia. Sendo assim, os temas sacros das religiões de matriz africana[1] (Umbanda e Candomblé) ficam em evidência nestes processos teatrais. Busca-se o conceito de Conversão Semiótica, proposto por Loureiro em três de suas obras, a primeira sobre a respeito da poética do imaginário[2]; a segunda um estudo sobre estética e poéticas do mito[3] e o terceiro discute mais a fundo o conceito proposto exemplificado nos aspectos religiosos[4]. No qual o autor esclarece a mudança da qualidade do signo conforme o seu deslocamento nos diferentes campos de relação: como a religião para a arte, as suas trocas simbólicas. [1] VERGER, P., Orixás. O presente estudo busca comparar e discutir a relação entre a arte e a religião através de dois textos, a Bíblica Sagrada e a literatura canônica brasileira. Esta pesquisa se utiliza da teoria da intertextualidade de Genette entre a bíblia e a obra literária de Esaú e Jacó feita por Machado de Assis. Busca-se também como aporte a teoria literária, para compreender como distintas linguagens podem se cruzar em uma mesma construção poético-narrativa, em concordância com a pesquisa de Conceição sobre a obra de Marc Chagall. Ou seja, a reconstrução de uma narrativa, exemplificada com personagens da Bíblia e os irmãos gêmeos machadianos Pedro e Paulo, com conflitos familiares tão iguais aos personagens do título da obra. Este “espelho literário” é revisitado diversas vezes durante a narrativa. Sendo assim, comparando ambas, percebe-se que há ressignificações poéticas por meio do aproveitamento estético do livro de Gênesis 15 feito pelo autor brasileiro.
