Das Pneumoperitoneum (P.P.) wurde zun/ichst zur Behandlung der tuberkulSsen Peritonitis yon 1V~OSETTI und Moo~Hor (1893) Da eigene gute Erfahrungen mit der kombinierten Behandhmg vorliegen, die deren weite Verbreitung wfinschenswert erscheinen lassen, soll fiber diese nachstehend beriehtet werden.Ffir die kombinierte Anwendung yon t.P. und P.P. gelten die yon KlCE)IER ffir die P.E. dargelegten meehanisehen Voraussetzungen. Der durch das P.P. entstehende Druck yore Abdomen her unterstfitzt den Zwerchfellhoehtritt erheblieh. BAI~RON erkliirt dieses Ph~nomen nieht nur durch den Druek, sondern dutch die Beseitigung des Adh~sionszugeS zwischen Bauchorganen und Zwerchfell, so da$ die Lungenretraktion besser zur Geltung kommt.Eine Wirkung des P.P. fiber das vegetative Nervensystem wird vermutet (SAL~, MO~AJ~Dr, REHBERG, BAR~ON usw.), jedoeh Seheinen --offensichtlieh wegen methodischer Schwierigkeiten --zuverl/~ssige Beobachtungen bisher nicht vorzuliegen. Nach Unterbrechung der motorischen Phrenicusbahn bildet sich ein bestimmter Spannungszustand des Zwerchfells heraus (KEN Kun]~), der als autonomer Muskeltonus gedeutet werden kann und vielleieht iib6r das Vegetative Nervensystem zustande kommt.Das P.P. allein erwies sich bei der Behandlung der Lungentuberkulose als wenig wirksam, so dab es grunds~itzlich nur in Verbindung mit der Zwerchfell~hmung
